The current Republican Party is the result of 40+ years of the proverbial chickens coming home to roost with right wing media, Fox News, Reagan worship, etc. They've doubled down on the white nationalism, and now that the demographics are not in their favor they are fine with authoritarianism to maintain power. The anniversary of the Voting Rights Act was yesterday, if Republicans had their way we wouldn't have it at all, they have been picking away at it for years.

I don't see why a lawyer could not request it be brought up in the actual court proceedings though. At least the sonic fiasco in that store if nothing else

The lawyer would have to do all the research themselves and present it all as part of the trial for the jury to consider it. They can't just say, "This happened, read more about it online when you get the chance", as that would spoil the jury. Likewise, the Gamestop Sonic incident would have to be shown in the actual trial in the courtroom for it to be used by the jury.

That said, I'd imagine that quite a bit of the Chris Chan saga would be inadmissible as evidence.

Maybe someone with an actual law background could shed more insight on this.

Jurors are told to refrain from researching the case on their own, and to only consider the evidence presented during the trial. That's also why they dismiss jurors shown to have prior knowledge of the person-on-trial during the jury selection process.

Unless it's presented as part of the case as evidence or a deposition, the jury cannot do either of those things.

I love first person shooting games, but first person role playing games are just lame to me. It's not even a weeb thing, what's the point in battling for that Ultra Mythic Ancient Draedric Armor of Godly Fire and BS with all the cool aesthetics if you never even see yourself in it?

Yeah, even when I see games like Overwatch and all the costumes the characters have in them, the game is played in the first-person, so you rarely see your character in that outfit.
