Recently, Young Animal Comics announced the official release date for Chapter 364 of Berserk manga, and heres everything you need to know about it.

With more than 50 million copies in circulation worldwide, Berserk is one of the best-selling Japanese manga series of all time. The popular Japanese manga series is written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura.

The series follows the story of Guts, a lone warrior who joins the Band of the Hawk mercenary group after defeating its leader, Griffin, in a battle.

Berserk is acclaimed for its dark story and characters by fans from all parts of the world. The manga also received a 24-episode anime adaptation that premiered in October 1997. However, in May 2021, the entire community was shaken by the news of Kentarou Miura passing away due to aortic dissection.

Berserk has 363 chapters covering 5 story arcs, and the latest chapter came out on January 22nd, 2021. However, heartbroken fans started to wonder if the manga series would continue any further when the author passed away.

WHEN DOES BERSERK CHAPTER 364 COME OUT?
Recently, Young Animal Comics confirmed that Berserk Chapter 364, probably the last chapter Kentaro Miura worked on, will publish in Young Animal issue 18/2021. The issue will be released on September 10th, 2021, so fans will read a new Berserk chapter next month.

The announcement also stated that the issue would include a colored page and a poster with the best scenes of the manga. Other than that, the issue will come with a booklet titled Messages to Kentarou Miura.

To be clear, Young Animal Comics didnt yet confirm that the manga series will continue after that authors death. Chapter 364 could very well be the last Berserk chapter well get to read. Anyway, its hard to jump to any conclusion without any official word from the publication or Miuras assistant.

I want to say that hopefully he left notes and/or sketches for events to come, but it's not like anyone ever plans to suffer an aortic dissection.

IIRC his assistants know how the story plays out, but the question is if theyre gonna be allowed to continue or if they even want to.

Depends if Miura left anything saying someone should continue. A few authors have contingencies for that stuff although I'm not aware of any that actually needed to be exercised. Usually the authors finished or didn't want it to be finished.

I think they should absolutely try to finish it, even if they have no notes or minimal notes. Becomes a no brainer if they have detailed notes.

Only way I would say it shouldn't be done is if Miura explicitly said he doesn't want anyone else to finish it.

I hope he at least had some notes written somewhere that detail maybe how things would have gone down.

I dont care for somebody else writing or drawing it, Id just like to know what the author had in mind.
