It's not going to be linear mission to mission type stuff, but an open concept where the players debate, scout and pick their targets. Still working the big stuff out but that post above has a poll we're running to test the waters. On topic basically 45 onward are where series picks up steam. Cassie's morality gets very in the way and her and Rachel butt heads a looooot. Cassie also does some of the most messed up stuff morally through the books which is weird, especially after 19 when she fully reinvests into the group. I'm on 52 right now. I skipped 4-5(second helmacrons book) and few of the ones where it doesn't matter what order you read them or they're just 'filler'. --- |

Lol I just read this today. Books 26 onward with two exceptions are ghost written until 52, 53 and 54 along with chronicles/megamorphs. Grant and Applegate wrote an outline and then the ghostwriters fleshed it out. Some are better than others, and some of the ghostwritten ones are among the better books as well, like 41 even though its totally out of left field. They do continue to build the main storylines but Id argue aside from broad strokes only Marcos is plot relevant and the rest build on what is there. Some of it is quite good, and everything 41 onward should be read for sure. There are some side quests in the middle where they hurt the yeerks by foiling a new plan, or help with the galactic war effort like 34, but until the 40s the hard blows arent hitting yet, and some like 31 are self contained episodes where neither party wins or loses anything aside from insight or experience. I will say right now that at least a fifth of the books are centered or plot driven by the Chee. I got into a 4 block run where they all were the other day. Most of the time its the androids bringing info or its something going on with them. There are like 3 books about the pemalite ship. Easily the most important allies followed by the free Hork Bajir. --- |
