I was gonna get some shift4 options as their rocket goes off next month on the 15th with contracts expiring on the 17th

But I was looking at SPCE and how it tumbled just before launch and then positively bottomed after, like 33$ loss from its 55$ high. And that was with a perfectly successful mission Im guessing because it looks like its behind the times when Elon is talking with NASA about a moon mission?

Not a great day to buy in as it jumped 5 points, but it may not get better either, idk

You guys ever watched the documentary 'How beer saved the world'

A potential argument for the agrarian revolution that happens offscreen could very well be to grow plants to make beer/alcohol. It was without a doubt one of the world's first commodities aside from food so it makes a lot of sense there. The ancient egyptians were brewing it, and they've even found remnants of antibiotics in the pots used to store it; the way they were preparing it LITERALLY made beer a medicine and it's reproducible today. Just a fun tidbit :)

I think he is referring to the state sponsored doping they did in the 80s and early 90s, but that was extremely normal then. In present only Russia appears to be doing large scale state sponsored doping (that we are aware of).

China's was def doing it but were a bit cleverer about it; they were taking the shroom stuff until quite recently. USA did it in the smaller circles for sure as well.

A lot of people are doping, and a lot aren't.

It's so weird to me that Human civilization is only a fraction of the time humans have existed. We spent so much time in the stone age

We seem some reflections of it in socio-cultural wisdom and knowledge, both positive and negative. We have the post-roman collapse and then the burning of the library at alexandria etc, meanwhile the east is barely affected, they're just too busy bothering with steppe people during a huge chunk of time or warring with themselves.

Basically living memory is huge, and written memory is... huger. The ability to retain information across lifetimes outside of genetic memory is beyond remarkable, it's unheard of in the animal kingdom until the homo genus and similar offshoots.

They think we've had fire for over a million years... and that trips me out more than anything, because judging by discoveries, it was probably around for longer than that.

She didn't drop out, she came back to compete and won a bronze. She dipped out of the team event and they got silver, it was a smart move. She wasn't on her game during that. If you watched the balance beam, she was back in form, was actually really moving. US team was very happy with her performance, chinese team was just excellent this year.

They were tamed long before they were ridden; horses work well as pack animals, yet art and historical sources seem to suggest they weren't being ridden for war or pleasure for awhile aka the art depicts them being sat on weirdly and such. Everything was tamed before it was used, but they'd have been domesticated before riding for sure. Chariots alone seem to suggest that considering their prevalence archaeologically.

They're probably severely undershooting all those estimates based on factual data and historical record. We can be fairly certain wolves/dogs were first because they've evolved separately for so long, and they aid in the domestication of the rest. We've found ruins of cities older than those estimates and I highly doubt we had cities before domesticating dogs.

LTTP still holds up tremendously well; it's still better than most 2d games made today. Every time I play it it's a reminder of how great it was, and how awesome it is that it's linear story-based in a time when people wanted to drag out all your gaming hours out over high scores, endless grinds, and super high difficulty games.

Miyamoto and his teams are still king.

Without Miyamoto there isn't really a Kojima as there probably isn't a gaming industry as we know it for a while longer, the entire trajectory changes. Nintendo succeeded on the back of Mario and LoZ, and they have been the biggest titles for the systems.

Meanwhile Kojima firmly elevated games into the art realm in a way no one had ever done before MGS. Once again it probably takes a serious trajectory change without MGS on the stage, but not as big as if Miyamoto hadn't existed.

I would definitely pay $80 for just the console and the controller. If it's in decent condition, I think you could definitely get more on the web though.

You're going to want some of the games too right? And one controller or two?

I'd rather bundle together with the games so I don't mind the 80$+games. That way the shipping is cheaper.

games:
Battletoads/Double Dragon
Legend of Zelda: LTTP
Kirby's Avalanche
Caesar's Palace

I may have more games but that's what's off the top of my head; I think the only one that commands value is LTTP, and kirby's avalance goes for around 15-18$. These are all real carts and its all legit hardware as well for controllers. The only one I played much of was LTTP tbh, though my gf loooooves super mario world. I think I might have super mario kart and super mario world floating around but I might have sold them awhile back. Not sure :/

Nah but the guitar is double tracked so it has a bit of a chorus effect.

What Im noticing is it loses the tight sense of urgency the demo version had; Ill try tweaking the volume of the percussion and see if that gives it more presence. Maybe some slap back delay on the snaps/claps since the mix is pretty dry

There were often drops in Diablo that once you got it, you kept it until end game. They really meant something, unlike Diablo 3 where theyre a dime a dozen.

I mean not everyones a madman tho bro

He is right that any high chaos play through is super easy, even without powers is still quite easy, just whale oil everyone.

Is tech Poole really a thing in this game? Maybe I'm thinking of a different mechanic so clarify for me
Its his available techs/magic; its a bunch of attack alls but in the end none of his magic stacks up against other characters late game so he doesnt really have a specialty, has no heals and isnt an impressive physical attacker. He also lacks the double and triple tech combos of the other characters.

Frog has a heal and some awesome double techs, solid physical attacks though is hampered by late game gear selection; Robo has the best variety in the game and is a solid physical attacker; Ayla is a fuckin powerhouse AND has a heal; Lucca has no heal and though her techs are alright, late game her phys is so poor shes not the best choice; Marle has bad phys but her magic is top tier and she has the best heals. Crono is Crono and has the best techs in the game.

Usually a nap follows, you snag an extra two hours or so and then spend a few hours at the gfs doing social stuff. Rinse repeat all week for a few years til you get too burned out.

Now I am sipping whiskey and working on the mix for this track while my savings dwindle and I look for some more part time stuff.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

In terms of Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart, Drake has 42 to The Beatles' 34. But again, Drake is listed as the main artist on only 26 of these hits, meaning that he only has a feature on 16 of the 42 Top 10 hits in his repertoire.Oct 23, 2020

My b I thought you were talking number ones, which is the traditional metric. However as above that's only due to features on other's records; if we're counting features then we count the Beatles solo efforts in combo with their own, meaning Paul McCartney is number 1 and still has the most number 1 hits, and Taylor Swift has more top ten hits as well with 29. And Elvis beats that as well

Also J Cole >>>>> Drake

That's not even in question, J Cole can write, Drake doesn't. Calling Drake a musician is sort of silly
