For the two balls they played it exactly per the rulebook so not sure how there can be any complaint there.

For the laser pointer, yes it's stupid and shouldn't happen but it's not like this is the first time it happened. It's a frequent occurrence and nothing ever gets done because of it. Plus Schmeichel said he didn't even notice it so it clearly had no effect on him anyway.

England are pretty bad for diving, just not as bad as some other countries. Italy, Portugal, Spain and the south American countries spring to mind. I really detest it personally and wish it wasn't part of the game. I'd far rather see tough defense and players battling to stay on their feet but until they bring in strict retrospective punishment, it's here to stay.

I watch Basketball as much as Football and the amount of soft fouls in Basketball drives me crazy too.

Seems sports always gives the advantage to offense and flair players because it's better for viewing figures and narratives than no nonsense defense.

Hard to say how England will play if behind because they just haven't had to do that in quite some time.

It was a problem during the golden generation where we always thought we had a high chance of winning but after those guys fizzled out we have generally been super down on our chances. Like we haven't thought we had a chance of winning a tournament since the 00s.

Even this tournament we didn't really think we had a chance until we got past Germany. I thought we were going to get exposed by the first good team we faced.

Yes, there's a non-zero chance of Danish fans doing the same, but I honestly doubt it, nothing of it in Spain vs. Croatia, which was a 1/8-final, but still. But the real problem here was obviously not their singing but that it was what you could hear because Spain and Italy were so limited in fan attendance.

I can't speak for other countries but it's a problem that is certainly just as bad (if not worse) in the US as it is in England

I feel a lot of problems other countries have with the English can be attributed to them not understanding the humor and thinking we are serious.

Living in the US has definitely toned down a lot of the things I used to say but it was definitely an issue when I first emigrated where people would take everything I said far too seriously

I'm 45-34-1 over the last 5 seasons so it would be a large drop off to finish 12th in the AFC. Hopefully it won't be that severe even if my offense will potentially be historically bad.

Personally I've been watching day 1 because of spoilers as I got so much shit spoiled from Falcon and the Winter Soldier (which myself and my wife waited to watch with a friend every week). Not spoiled by anyone in here but by stupid Facebook promoted click bait posts either theory posting or meme posting. I've seen the same shit with Loki on Facebook where if I hadn't watched release day everything would have been spoiled for me by Thursday.

Which sounds kind of whatever but Josh Magette was selected who is a 30+ year old G-league journeyman currently playing in Turkey. Kyle Lowry is the biggest one of these currently for me. I loathe the dude because of the dirty side of his game but I absolutely get why you would love him on your team.

You can use the promoted listing option on Buy It Now, you cannot on auctions. Over the last year 70% of my sales have come via promoted clicks and only 30% via organic clicks. You set the % you pay but it has definitely been worth it in my case (I set it at 4%). If someone clicks on your listing organically then you don't pay the promotion fee even if you have it toggled on.

Paying $500 for a video game is fucking stupid, but paying just over $200 isn't terrible. I also like it when Buy It Now prices have an 'or best offer' option. I recently got Arc Rise Fantasia for $65 + shipping, when it's currently going for well over $100. I absolutely refuse to deal with storefronts that have a Buy It Now price and no wiggle room, unless the price is so well below the median asking price that it looks like a good deal.

As an ebay seller I loathe the best offer option. When I first started selling I used it and it essentially guarantees 2 things. Firstly that you are going to get ridiculous low-ball offers that are a waste of time to read and secondly that you won't get the buy it now price on 95%+ of your auctions as people expect a discount with that option on. The third issue with the best offer option is the same issue you get with auctions, some people who just never pay after you accept their offer. Whereas if you just use buy it now you can toggle it on to force payment immediately for it to go through.

Auctions / Best offers favor buyers and pure buy it nows favor sellers. I'd only ever utilize a non buy it now option if I had merchandise that I just couldn't move and just wanted rid of it.

Also, you can still send offers out to interested buyers with Buy It Now on. So I always feel it's better to list with a simple Buy It Now and then you can send out offers to prospective buyers where you control the price if you feel like giving a discount.

y'all are way overselling it in my opinion. Definitely go the ebay route but don't be surprised if for some reason yours don't go for as high as others - there's a lot of bid inflation on there.

Depends on how willing he is to sit on it. In the last 10 months I've sold 90k worth of merchandise on ebay by exclusively selling through the buy it now option. If you're willing to be patient someone will eventually just pay it.

I'm talking about Macedonia, the only team they beat in the group stage. Basically they made it through the group stage by losing to the two teams that traditionally make it and beating the team that never makes it and is a whipping boy by only 1 goal.

Sure they made it to the quarter finals by beating a team that deserved to be there but realistically Ukraine did not deserve to be in the round of 16 to begin with. 1 win against Macedonia and 2 losses should not qualify any team for the knockout stages of a major tournament

Yeah, though let's be fair, if we'll mention that the win was a 1 goal difference, then we should mention that the the losses were too.

My point was more their only win came by 1 goal against a team that is traditionally a whipping boy and hadn't ever qualified for the world cup or euros prior to this. They only made it because of the expanded format and a weak playoff path (Georgia and Kosovo)

I just filtered ebay by sold listings and there's one that sold for $450 today, one for $350 yesterday and another for $375 the day before. So that's probably your range

I used to drink a lot a few years ago (more so energy drinks) but then I switched to sugar free energy drinks. I was drinking a lot, like 2+ of the big cans a day. Then like 3 months ago I cut energy drinks out completely and drink exclusively water / flavored water and infrequently juice. It helped slow down my metabolism (I was like 17 - 17.5 BMI and struggled to gain weight regardless of calorie intake). It took a while for my body to adjust to it but once it did I put on like 10 lbs in a 2 week period (which is a lot when you were sub 130lbs) and in general have started feeling healthier and now find it easier to put on weight. What I drink were the only part of my diet I changed.

I basically can't drink normal pop now because the sugar makes me A. Crash and B. Gives me a really bad headache within 1-2 hours of drinking it and ruins my entire day

While the missing third places was the previous champions, and one of them, Ukraine, is the only team left from their group. That feels pretty crazy and shows the glaring holes in this format because the group games matter so much less than they should.

Said it earlier but Ukraine progressing out of the group with 2 losses plus a 1 goal win against Macedonia is a joke.

I'm sure all the other teams on our side of the bracket will be looking at it the same way and thinking 'We only have to beat England to make the finals'

It's hard to match because of time between tournaments and the likelihood of your team actually getting into a penalty shootout (unless you're England and then it's basically a biennial event)

I actually think 2010 was worse. I distinctly remember the papers labeling the group as EASY with USA listed as yanks to make it work. Sure we qualified but in second and the games against Algeria and USA were shocking. Had we not fumbled the group stage so horrendously we would have ended up with Ghana, Uruguay, Holland as the route to the final.

Instead our bungling group stage is a large proponent of why VAR exists

I mean the distinction is in a knockout game. England have beaten good teams outside of knockout games and even within world cups / Euros.

It's also worth noting that quite a few of their major defeats in knockout games in the last couple of decades were via penalty shootout too rather than losing in normal time.

I made a ton off pokemon cards and I didn't know what I was doing. I wasn't even buying from distributors, I was buying from stores and flipping packs unopened. So I'm sure Chris who does this all day makes way more doing what he's doing.

Alternatively you should look into selling shoes. Typically I spend $5-10k per month and make $2-3k profit per month. It's not going to compound though because you're limited by the amount of stock you can get your hands on. I haven't ever looked into getting directly from a distributor though because I only spend a few hours a week doing it.

As a kid my Dad had bought me like 100-150 shoes which back then was like $200-300 since it was 2:1 ratio on conversion.

As an adult I typically spend $30-60 although I'm right by the clearance stores and outlets so I never buy anything full price. I think the most expensive pair I've owned out of my own pocket are $70 shoes that are $150 MSRP. And even those I bought with the intention of reselling as part of my business but decided to keep them for myself.

I regularly buy more expensive shoes than I would spend on myself to resell on ebay. I spend like $5-10k every month in the Nike clearance store
