Also I know you were told not to meta but the '4 hour gladiate' thing was an instant lynch for me. Restricting something to first 4 hours of the day (unless I misread / misremembered the claim) seems anti-town to begin with but also just not something a host would do given timezones and that not everyone is around for day start.

Don't remember if it had happened yet but also day starts weren't consistent times which would be another reason for a first X hours of the day thing to just not possibly be a thing

That was a fun game to watch as an outsider. I was reading through diligently and swayed from 'This is horrible town play or scum is being exceptional' to 'What on earth are scum doing, they are imploding'.

I could not believe that Lopen lasted as long as he did after Day 1 but given I haven't played in years and only read topics periodically it could have just been an outsider perspective. The whole Han thing caught me out as I wasn't really suspect of him prior to him backing himself into a corner. I was leaning Mzero on the last one but not with enough conviction I couldn't have been talked out of it so good job town there.

2. Both were red light cameras.

First time was an amber on a completely empty road and I was caught in between do I brake or do I just keep going. It changed to red as I hit the line.

The other was not fully stopping on red on a right turn like 2 turns from my neighborhood. It's clearly just a money making scheme by the local authority as the camera is only in that single direction on a 4 way junction.

I would probably have a lot more if Florida gave a shit about speeding but basically everyone drives 10-20 over the posted limits here so you have to be doing something stupid to get a speeding ticket.

I had not kept up with the development of this other than it supposedly being a spiritual successor to Suikoden. And now that I've actually looked at the gameplay I am disappointed because that does not look like Suikoden gameplay

When I watched it he got as big a reaction as Reed. It actually pissed me off at the time because it was so loud I didn't hear what was said when they introduced him. So I spent the next 10 minutes wondering who the fuck he was until they said his name again.

What really sucks about this is I live in a red state that will likely implement this quick or even before it's rolled out. And yet there's multiple issues with me moving to a blue state to actually give my wife the rights she deserves (we are safe and have never once had a scare but that isn't the point).

A. I don't work remote and it's not an option so I'd have to leave a company I've worked at for 17 years

B. Even though I have ~$200k in equity in my house, if I sold it and bought another house for the same price my mortgage would rise by $700 which is a 50% increase because interest rates are a batshit crazy 6% right now and property prices are being driven through the roof

C. I actually like where I live plus all my friends are here.

Florida is incredibly unlikely to go blue, especially with how DeSantis has recently redistricted Florida to have a R+20 bias.

The entire system of the Supreme Court and how it's ran is the actual joke. Our very laws are dictated by random luck of who is president when they're able to catch the opposing party's judges dying so they can fill their seats with their own agendas. It's a bad system that will always mire civil liberties in this country. It is in dire need of a reformation.

That was my thought too. What's the point of a system where they just vote along party lines and there's the ability to stack the court which could then have ramifications long after you're out of power.

When they have been bickering with Magic fans on Twitter they have frequently cheered on Magic injuries and posted pics/videos of when bad injuries occurred to those players. So I assume it they are doing it for as shitty team as the Magic, they do it for everyone.

I'm sure it's a vocal minority like most fanbases but those vocal minority are the most obnoxious fanbase to deal with on Twitter at least. Like any Franz or Suggs post this year would also be flooded with 'Scottie betta' nonsense too.

Right but no matter how cheap the owner is, if you have a franchise worthy player who you can build around then you max them without question.

The other red flag against Ayton is that his current team wouldn't even give him a max extension. They will likely match whatever he gets in RFA but just the fact that he's hitting RFA is notable in itself. That should never happen with a guy you pick that high or a guy you are willing to build a team around

I'm gonna delude myself into it being Fultz like I do every year. His per 36 during his end of season minutes restriction comeback were 20/10/5. His potential assists per 36 (19.5) would have been 2nd in the league behind only CP3.

He was also playing with the second unit during his comeback which was essentially G-leaguers as the Magic were trying to lose.

Morant winning the award feels like a joke to me. He was essentially an undisputed RotY (the 1 guy who didn't vote him should have his vote stripped for voting for a dude who only played 24 games).

There's basically an unwritten rule about 2nd year players being ineligible for MIP. When you win RotY in such a dominant fashion, you should also be ineligible unless there's a huge drop off in year 2.

Probably not. I live 20 mins away from Universal and about 30 mins from Disney but they have zero appeal to me. I think I've been to Disney twice and Universal like 3 times in the last 10 years and it was always when someone is visiting.

There's a slim chance I go to Halloween horror nights with the wife but she usually goes with friends and it does nothing for me.

I actually drive by universal every morning. And when I go to the pub with a friend it's basically across the road from universal.

It's also easier for Lebron to consistently be on a great team than for a franchise to remain at that level. Lebron can strip a team of all their immediate and future assets to contend now before peacing out to the next team without having to deal with the consequences. It's very hard for a franchise to just do a full reset once shit hits the fan and immediately contend again.

Qualifier imo should be at least 75% of games played but I'd be fine with higher because now I math that out it's 61.5 games. Should probably be a minimum of like 65-66 games really. So 80%?

Even though I didn't expect him to have a chance, I was disappointed to see not a single top 3 vote for Franz Wagner. Seems being consistently great through the season without the peaks just isn't as valued. Magic really should have fed him the ball more like in Dec/Jan when we had people injured and he popped. He did at least still lead all rookies in points scored

Jonathan Isaac managed to tear his hamstring and required surgery. Apparently happened just hours after we ruled him out for the season so wasn't the reason he wasn't playing.

He hasn't played since August 2020 and has only played 3 games since Jan 1st 2020.

Edit: My head cannon is the injury occurred when he was jumping for joy over being ruled out for the year and his calendar freeing up for political appearances

Can't possibly pick. I have 5 cats and also work with 6 animal rescues where I transport cats all around Florida. So I see tons of breeds on a regular basis.

Guess I'll toss ragdoll a vote since it's in last and I do have a super lovable/clingy one at home. They are known as 'puppy cats' because of how they act. She likes to be held like how you hold a baby. She also does stuff like this.

I basically had a panic attack when one of my cats got out through a broken window screen last year. And that was even though I saw it happen and was able to catch her in under 5 minutes. All I could think of was the worst as I was trying to catch her (she was a former stray who had lived outside for 17 years so I was not remotely confident of getting her back).

Nah, our IT department is unique. Our head of IT is like one step below the owner (and we are owned by 1 guy). He is not good at his job but he's seemingly being groomed to take over the company at some point. No idea how he got into the position he's in or how there's never been repercussions for the litany of shit he's done.

I guess the easiest thing I can equate it to is rich owner hands off the keys to his unqualified son and let's him do what he wants. He isn't his son (that I know of!) but that's basically the dynamic.
