And I wasn't even able to do the "true" routine, that was 60 seconds per exercise! Had a bad squat day today. Had some pain/soreness in my right hip area, which was odd because normally it's my left side I've had issues. Maybe from doing a bunch of treadmill and elliptical cardio the day before. I came up 2-3 reps short on my heavy set, which was frustrating. And those singles got overplayed so hard back then that hearing them now, I was at first excited, then by the third listen I was like "okay, I'm good for another 20 years". I've always had difficulty keeping people straight with purely text-based communication, and this has been a good way of getting a better sense of individual users. This continues to be a problem for me. I recognize the usernames of the regulars but still couldn't really give you a good sense of most of their tastes. I know Raetsel_Lapin'stastes tend to align with mine on the album level (see the impromptu top 10's above, you like some of the more "artsy"/"critically acclaimed" (in a very general sense) albums I would have never touched otherwise, and we've got some "metalheads" like Steiner that only show up for certain types of albums. I suppose that's better than nothing but it's still not great. It applies for even the larger B8 though; there are very few users who I have a good sense of, and most of those are the, let's call them notorious, posters. As for game soundtracks, I'll say I'm a bit negative on the idea overall. The length (in time and tracks) just means rankings are even more arbitrary because of the difficulty in the task. I also think soundtracks should be heard as part of the media they were developed for. I enjoyed Hamilton but it wasn't as good listening stand alone as it was watching the actual musical. If I were trying to think about game soundtracks that have stuck with me and that I've listened to some outside of the game...I think of Mario RPG and DKC2. There's also that remix album of DKC music, Kong in Concert. Newer games, there's Bastion and Hotline Miami. Based on the prior week, plus how I was feeling today, I should have been able to get 1-2 more reps. Unfortunately I had to use the shitty, softer bench which doesn't let me "push" into the bench the way I want, so that cost me. Despite that, it still represents a personal rep high for that weight, so PROGRESS! My lower back has been acting up again though and I've been unable to heavy deadlift the last 2 weeks. I've tried but my body gave me clear signals not to proceed when I got under tension. Maybe each month there's 1 selection in a <10 hour tier, 1 selection in a <30 hour tier, and a final selection that's 30+ hours (but that one actually lasts 2 months). Length could just be based on howlongtobeat's Main+Extra info. Doesn't have to be completely strict either. Maybe a game that's 12 hours long could fall into the <10 and <30 tiers but obviously only gets selected for one of them, with the other tier being redrawn. I'm probably thinking too complicated. I just know that there's likely very few times someone could play all 6 games selected between GotM and GotM Replay in a single month, should someone want to do that. Especially if there were 3-4 30 hour long games selected. Anyway, I'll be focused on Tears of the Kingdom for May (and probably June and maybe July too), so I don't plan on nominating anything until that game's done. Apparently the 84 year old white homeowner was in bed, heard the doorbell, and grabbed her revolver. Saw the 6 foot tall black kid and was "scared to death". Opened the interior door and shot him through the glass exterior door. Alleged to have said "don't come around here" as the kid was fleeing. Conflicting stories on whether he was "pulling on the exterior door handle". Speculation on my part, but the kid probably tried the handle, wondering if it was locked, not with any malicious intent. Kid's lawyer saying the "stand your ground" law doesn't apply. This story has had basically zero coverage on Fox News homepage, which kinda says everything that needs to be said. Xeybozn posted... You forgot that if the victim ever did (or was even accused of) anything wrong in his entire life, people will say it was enough to make the shooting justified. And if no such "crime" exists, they'll just make one up. It won't matter that the shooter didn't know about whatever excuse they latch onto.
