Final battle took me 2 tries, mostly because, well, learning the patterns, but also I lost too much health getting through the chambers before that point. Didn't realize the enemies in that one room would continue respawning. Second time through I just ran and did fine. I think 5 represents the new low water mark though. Doesn't offend me one bit if you're not into In Flames or metal in general. Everyone's got different tastes. I do appreciate you at least taking the time to listen to the first ranked song! There have been quite a few "big name"/"big artist" albums that I haven't enjoyed very much, and In Flames is very much a smaller band. Or even just having rooms with secrets left to find a different color on the map, ala Resident Evil. My old ass PC (10.5 years old...) isn't going to play modern 3D games in an acceptable way. Every other music circle I spend time in treats "Bunny is a Rider" and especially "Billions" as two of the greatest pop songs ever written, and here they're treated as middle of the road on their own album. I feel like I heard a completely different album. Well we did only have 6 rankers, which is lower than our normal 8-10. But I think it also points to the differences between music people and non music people. Im sure your other circles are listening to albums many more times than the few listens our regulars are giving in a week. I havent the diversity to be able to pin down metal to its smaller sub genres. When I think of amazing metal vocalists, Im thinking about Symphony X and Dream Theater. Which may not be fair because they might be the truly exceptional in the larger metal genre. Even less classically amazing vocalists, whether were talking Metallica or System of a Down or Avenged Sevenfold, have a sound that, for me, merges with the guitars, drums, etc. With Protest the Hero, I was just struck by what, to my ears, sounded dischordant. Thats probably not the right musical term but I think you get the idea. It was so bizarre that it was hard for me not to focus on that.
