Bananas are...fine. I eat them the most because they're the easiest, not because I love them.

Did a 2nd listen today. This is going to be one of those tough to rank albums, despite there being only 11 songs. I'm pretty sure I've got the #1 locked, and maybe a general idea of the other top 3-4 but after that, who knows. (Unfortunately but not really) There's no bad, easy to shove to the bottom, songs here.

I would consider trying VR if I could find somewhere to see what it's like before I buy. I've had some issues lately with staring at certain displays or certain games, and the last thing I want to do is invest a ton of time, money, and motivation into a piece of hardware that I'm not going to enjoy (either literally or because I can't continue to focus on it.)

They sell the Quest 2 at Costco. You could try it and return it if you don't like it?

Having tried it over the holidays, VR was awesome as long as I wasn't moving inside the headset. So stuff like Beat Saber and SuperHot were fine. As soon as movement happened (i.e. riding a roller coaster or moving with the analog sticks) my brain and my stomach noped out real quick. I'm sure you eventually get your "VR legs" (someone here mentioned pointing a fan at your face) but I didn't have enough time with it to get to that point.

I've been using cloth with PM2.5 filters but I'm thinking of switching one of the 95 styles. Wary of buying fakes online though, not really sure how to tell if they're counterfeit or not.

You can buy directly from Honeywell or 3M or one of the other companies that makes the masks. They also sell them at hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)

I wear a cloth because it's the simplest.

I ordered some N95s a few weeks ago but by the time I get them we'll be past the surge. Oh well, not like masks go bad. Or that I'm going into super crowded places that it's going to make a difference. Or that I'm not vaxxed and boosted...

One of the few > 2 syllable NFL nicknames, along with the Patriots, Buccaneers, and 49ers. Of course, those get shortened all the time to Pats, Bucs, and Niners.

Did a first listen today. Certainly a different sound than last week, that's for sure!

Got some strong Lumineers vibes from some songs. (Excuse my lack of other reference points as I bring them up again...) There's a bit of a choir/church-y kind of vibe going on here as well that I'm not sure I'm super big on?

Definitely going to take a few more listens to get my thoughts sorted out.

Give both teams possession. If there's a TD on the first teams possession, the second team gets the same amount of game clock time to match them. If they score faster they win, if they don't they lose.

Still sucky but I'd prefer it to what we have now.

Chiefs didn't win because of their defense. C'mon now.

It was more a general statement than anything particular to that game. It's not like that game was punt-less though, so there were some D stops. Also, didn't quite realize this at the time but no turnovers in that game. Only a missed FG by KC.

Bills/Chiefs with college OT rules would've been electrifying at the rate both QBs were playing. Not saying college OT rules are the answer, but imagine that duel going back and forth on short fields.

All offense can be just as boring as all defense. The former is better for the casual fan, driving viewership, and the bottom line but I don't think it makes for a better experience when points are being put up on every drive. It's still a "one note" game. It's the swings in momentum that make the game interesting.

Of course, I understand that game was an aberration, because Mahomes and Allen are very likely the 2 best QBs in the NFL. We likely got the Super Bowl 3 weeks early.

The problem I had with last night's ending (and Pats/Chiefs 2018 and the Falcons/Pats Super Bowl) is that the OT period was such an anticlimax. Chiefs trotted downfield and won. Yawn.

And how is that any better than: Bills get a chance to match, trot down the field and score. Chiefs get the ball back in TRUE SUDDEN DEATH, trot down the field again and score? I mean, the 2nd time they would only need a FG to win it, right?

At a certain point, the people asking for both teams to possess would cause the game to inevitably evolve into the college OT rules. And that includes the no kickoffs and shortened fields because the strain on the players bodies would be too much.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. If you can't play D, you don't deserve to win.

Once again got today in 4. I'm still 100% overall and done 13 of 14 in 4 guesses.

There was a moment today where I thought the word might be ONION, but I figured that would be a waste of a guess.

You have data to back that up? I think I remember reading the coin toss gave a very marginal advantage.

I was not a fan of The Beatles when I had someone at work play their #1s album over and over again. A few years later, I listened to their discography, "got it", and now would rank them as one of my favorite bands.

Straight up, I don't like this album. I don't enjoy Lou Reed's singing. I enjoy Nico's singing even less. A lot of the instrumentation is just abrasive. I ranked Heroin #1 if just because it was kinda interesting with the whole heartbeat thing, but I can't say there's a single song here I truly enjoyed and there's no chance I ever listen to this album ever again.

With that said, I'm glad to have listened to it if it's considered a "classic" but absolutely did not "get it" at all. If this got popular after the fact because of Lou Reed's solo career, well, I have to wonder if it was just because of people trying to like it, willing themself to like it, deluding themself to like it so they could be part of some weird "in" crowd.

Or maybe I'm just "basic" and have no fucking taste. I fully recognize that's a very distinct possibility.

EA seems like it would be the biggest reciprocal response for Sony to try to pull off. I'd probably put Epic 2nd on that list.

I do have to wonder though if this truly means we won't see things like Call of Duty on Playstation. There's still a ton of money to be made publishing on the "other" platform. Like, you put CoD on Game Pass (and maybe raise the prices a bit...) to create extra value there and lock people into the subscription. But you still sell the boxed/digital copies for all platforms, because, why not.

Then again...aren't they going to be no longer publishing Bethesda games for Playstation? So yeah, maybe I'm wrong.
