Soz if u already knew this, but there's a door on the bottom right hand side of the blue menu screen. If you lose a challenger approaches fight, you get to rematch them there after 10 minutes or so of losing the previous match.

i can also totally understand being irked by lucina. it's cool when a character is unique. clones devalue both themselves and the character they clone.

Yep Magic lose but more from Suns actually defending well and getting a deflection on the pass, looks like the play definitely scores if not for that.

Lost 4 straight in a stretch where we should have been looking for 3 to 4 wins. At the very least we had to beat the Heat who we were battling with for 8th but we got mauled We have looked awful in all 4 losses. This is beginning to have a familiar feel to it as we always slump Dec and Jan.

They manage to trick me with hope every year but this year really did feel different! 30-36 win team probably right now which is disappointing now but probably up on our preseason projections. Next month will be interesting because if we slump like usual I'd imagine they will look to shift Vucevic

i love 531! i don't adhere strictly to it since i'm too lazy to go to the gym with enough regularity (i go in the AM, and i crave sleep - so i wind up cutting many workouts very short)

but that's definitely how i've attempted to scheme my training for benching and squatting

i severely hurt my back deadlifting a while ago. i don't know why deadlifting bothers my back so much but i just can't seem to do any more than like 225-255 without getting negative feelz

i haven't 1rm'd squats or bench lately but i'm at around 295x5 and 335x2 respectively

oh and i don't do OHP either - wind up just doing seated dumbbell stuff for shoulders instead

well so there are three phases to the celtics' season so far

the first phase was the one that's most troubling, because it seemed like celtics players were this awful combination of overly unselfish and overly selfish. gordon hayward isn't a matter of "not fitting in" but rather just not being very good at the time. the skills the celtics have on the perimeter are almost all in passing and shooting, not in physically driving and making buckets (other than jaylen brown, who wasn't converting layups). hayward would drive from the 3p line to just outside the paint and kick it out EVERY TIME to the perimeter. people would look unconfident, be pump-faking 3s, stepback 3s, outside shots, the like - marcus morris was one of the only guys would could consistently take it inside to do damage.

the second phase, the 8-game win-streak celtics, brought smart and morris into the lineup. it feels a little like fool's gold to me since jaylen brown is a guy who's going to become VERY upset on the bench, and morris is not part of our future. but morris solved our overpassing issue as well as our offensive paint problem, while smart added a ton of hustle to the starting unit.

the latest losing streak was more a result of losing baynes and horford - hard to win even with a stacked perimeter if you literally have ZERO frontcourt talent. horford and marcus morris returned tonight and we were fine.

This was a pretty good post I was legit hoping for a response to.

I'm a fan of both anime and live-action shows, and have seen way more western TV than anime in recent years. I am often bothered by overly emotive voice actors in anime, too. So that wasn't it, at least alone.

And FWIW, CV's voice-acting felt cartoony to me, too - not naturalistic.

well when i tried watching i made a topic asking if there was anything i was missing - i also had issues with the voice-acting and just generally how seriously the show were taking an inherently camp concept - and i thought i was in the twilight zone with how everyone thought i was trolling

it was utterly bizarre and made me not really want to post about stuff like this. also made me not want to continue watching.

what a wonderful, positive topic to read through. your appreciation of history really shines in these writeups!

i'm by far most attached to sonic as a character among these icons, and S3&K is by far the best of the sonic games (as you rightfully noted), so that probably ranks #1, and sonic 1 is my "growing up" game, so it's incredibly hard to disentangle that from how i'd objectively view the game

and fwiw, only beaten sonic 1, s3&k, SMB3, and DKC2 of this list. four amazing games though!

Link kicks ass. Why? He kicks ass by virtue of being a knight. Knights, as we all know from history class, kicked ass. They came in hordes, rode horses, and slashed people up good. Link does all those, and more. What killed knights? Longbowmen. Longbowmen were little crappers that had the annoying ability to shoot arrows right through the thickest of armor. Imagine rushing at the enemy, resplendent in your ass-kicking armor, and then the guy next to you falls down. Then, another flash of movement and there's an arrow through your chest. It went through your armor like it was paper. Those damned archers and their ass-kicking bows. While you're bleeding there, you realize that your ass-kicking was not superior to theirs, and if you had a bow of some sort you may have had superior ass-kickingness and then blazed through those little archer-men like they were nothing. Link, however, is like an Archer-knight. He's got a sword, arrows, and a shield. He doesn't have that crappy armor that barely lets you move, he just carries a shield and then pwnz stuff hard. All his junk kicks ass too. He's got an Ocarina. The name Ocarina just kicks ass. But this isn't any Ocarina, its an Ocarina of Time. He can friggin travel through time with it, and he can do all sorts of cool stuff. He controls the planets rotation, changing day to night and vice-versa. This Ocarina kicks ass. He has the help of faeries. In the rare event that he falls, they revive him. So you're all like, "YEAH! I killed him, and overcame his ass-kicking power!" and then he comes to life and then kills you, because he just kicks that much ass. His arrows aren't just regular arrows, they're all sorts of crap. They can be infused with fire and never burn up, they can freeze people, and they can even vanquish evil with a few well-place shots. Not just that, but his bow-and-arrow isn't just a BAA, its a friggin missile launcher. THOSE ARROWS CAN CARRY FRIGGIN BOMBS! So this guy has the equivalent of a freeze-ray, a flamethrower, a gun-of-holiness, and some sort of rocket launcher. Just with his friggin arrows. Therefore, he must kick ass. Lots and lots of ass. But it doesn't stop there.

His shield kicks ass. It doesn't just defend him, it absorbs magic and THROWS IT BACK AT THE ENEMY. What the hell kind of attack is gonna get through that? You're all like, "Feel the wrath of my Hadoken-style magic beam of deathness, Elfie!" and then he catches it and flings it back at you. Then you die. His shield kicks ass, but so does his sword. Not only is it a sword, but its a special sword. If Link isn't hurt, IT SHOOTS FRIGGIN LASER BEAMS. He has a sword that SHOOTS LASER BEAMS. I'm going to say it again, the sword SHOOTS LASER BEAMS! You're all like, "w00t! I'm 20 feet away and running faster than Link! I may not kill him, but he won't kill me!" Then he shoots you. Not with an arrow, which is cool but expected, but he shoots you with his sword. With his laser-beam firing sword. He also uses magic. Invincibility-inducing magic. Teleportation magic. Ass-kicking fire magic. His sword charges with magic and shoots it outwards in a circle around him. So Link is like Samus, nearing the ass-kicking threshold. But he already has a hat. Unfortunately, he has a very hard time of taking the Ass-Kicking Beam of Light form, whilst Samus just puts a funny hat on top of her helmet. That is his one weakness
