That's actually true, Cammy has no answer to stored Ochio Throws and Honda's priority. Even the best Cammy players in the world never want to fight Honda. Same goes for Bison (even worse for him since he has no reversal outside of super)

They're good, just broken in bad ways (gems in MSH, Psylocke/Colossus assist spam in MvC1.)

They have amazing backgrounds and presentation, and the artists filled the game with a lot of heart.

People didn't doubt it because Lupinko was the one who started the rumor about UMvC3... In March before Shuma and Jill were released.

The one thing I found interesting, though, is how much more positive (or less negative) the reaction was to SSFIV's announcement relative to Ultimate. I think it largely had to do with the unexpected stigma of releasing it in the same year as the original game. Ultimate was released exactly nine months after the original MvC3, but both hit in 2011. SSFIV was released 14 months after its original game, obviously in the next year. I guess that made a difference.

SF4 was the game that broke Capcom out of it's fighting game drought, and was low budget (just look at the last Capcom fighter released, Fighting Jam.) so people were more accepting that the game could be improved since SF4 was the game that made the money to convince Capcom's higher ups that fighting games weren't dead so a super version was reasonable. By the time MvC3 came out Capcom's fighting game staff had huge budgets so UMvC3 didn't need to be made when they clearly have the money to make a complete game now.

Capcom went from throwing bones to milking the teat till it's bruised in 4 years.

It hasn't been used consistently yet to really count it for Rufus through, most pros (however little are left for SFxT) can't even get it to work in training.

Dante's def top ten, his damage and hitbox nerfs from vanilla is what keeps him out of the top 5.

Frank mostly used for his shopping cart assist, his level up gimmick is a curse and a blessing. He's in the upper mid.

Ryu is widely considered the best character in the game. Kazuya, Raven, Zangief and probably Ogre is the the top five, Rufus used to be top 5 until his dive kick nerf.

Vega is okay in that game, his lack of damage is his major problem but since you're most likely to win through time outs anyway it's not that big of a problem, M. Bison is complete garbage in that game, one of the absolute worst. His priority is much worse and he can't do anything against someone holding down back since his scissor kicks are much less safe than SF4 and since grabs have no range in this game his tick throw game is non existent.

The order depends, through Spencer is usually fifth.

Hsien-Ko got buffs but is still one of the worst characters.

Seth's mostly a happy guy at Capcom, at least until SFxT got released, you should have seen his eyes at NorCal Regionals, he had such bags under them, the kind you see a stressed person has.

This is fine, a few characters in Brawl felt half assed (normal Samus, Ness/Lucas/Wario's grab release problems, Mario got nerfed hard from his E 4 All self, Sonic was rushed, Captain Falcon and Ganondorf were nerfed for no reason and Jigglypuff felt like she was slapped in the game at the last minute.)
