Hasn't Capcom commented that SFxT was a sales disappointment for them? I guess the other game can still be profitable with a smaller budget, but I imagine it'll definitely sell less, and the lukewarm sales and fan response for the Capcom version must concern Namco.

Yeah but Capcom never thinks about what they did wrong when things like that happen and always tries to find a scapegoat instead of saying they screwed up. For SFxT it was all Ono's fault. For UMvC3 it was because of over-saturation. Anyways what I'm saying is I like to think Namco could see passed the Capcom fog and find the potential for TxSF. Also really really really hope they at least get some televised commercial spots for the new Tekken.

Capcom has been blaming oversaturation for bad sales forever

CvS1, all the vs stuff that wasnt MvC2, SF3 NG and 2I, Alpha everything, CFJ

they can call it oversaturation, but it's more like "put out a lot of mediocre games really fast"

ha I've been thinking about that lately

it baffles me that people are this excited about a new Darkstalkers game

like after their track record the last 4 years, you really want to make a sequel to your favorite game? odds are good that if you're a huge fan of the old ones you're not a huge fan of the new ones. especially since new entries in the series tend to kill the old ones even if they're obviously worse. people want a new SF3 game, or a new Darkstalkers, or a CvS3. or rebalances of something. put me in the "lol no thanks" category for all of that.

Nothing is wrong with him. He's spot on. Vampire Savior is an awesome game and the best thing for it is to not get a sequel in the current climate.

Yeah. They have a fine record if you look at everything from 09 onwards. SF4 has matured into a fine game, UMvC3 is one balance patch and having Cyclops from being flat out better than Marvel 2 even though not even three years have passed, and even SFxT had a bunch of OK ideas buried among the horribleness. I'm hyped up for Alpha 4 and the new Darkstalkers, actually. They're likely to be pretty decent.
