"CRT" is academic theory from the 80s; it's extremely tame concepts of systemic racism that informs how most normal people think about race today. It's not even "for" high school and has been taken out of context and used a bogeyman. It also acknowledges that white privilege exists and of course this will lead into discussions of wealth in America in which we can easily show that families descended from slaves in America have less income, on average, than white families. All this amounts to facts that Republicans don't like: the racial make-up of prisons, wealth inequality statistics, representation in media and in government (easily measureable and comparable to census data), and so on. --- ( o _o) |
