My YouTube favorite playlist is like 18 years old at this point and I know for a fact there's some real classics on there that were deleted and totally lost to time.

Isn't that crazy? Sometimes I wonder if there was a person that actually downloaded and backed up all these videos beforehand which got deleted and is sitting on a treasure trove of internet history.

That's pretty funny. Gamefaqs owners saw what gfycat and more importantly imgur did, and decided to remove all images of a sexual nature including but limited to images of a sexual nature.

That's kinda interesting to be honest.

It's so that they can grow old together and die. Like a reverse hawkman and hawkgirl's star crossed lovers thing.

That movie had so much jarring humor dissonance, even it being a result of the 2007-2008 writers strike is no excuse.

Literally a scene of will Smith having sex with a woman but his sperm is so powerful so he pushes her off so that his semen can shoot through the roof of his trailer like bullet holes. Jesus christ did robot chicken write that scene?

And then there's the "literally shoving a criminal's head into another criminal's ass" thing. Even back then that wasn't really funny. But it is a time capsule of the way edgy humor was done in the 2000s.

I'm also in the camp of "there was probably a good movie here with a somewhat novel premise especially way back in 2008"

with superpowers and whatnot, I'd have 2 nickels. But it's weird that it happened twice:

Hancock: immortal being with superpowers with some weird 2007 writers strike era script of a movie.

The Old Guard: basically the story is they're these immortal beings with infinite health and they've been influencing human history by participating in wars, aid, and may or not have its own comic

Looool I actually have tried that chocolate. We saw it during the pandemic and bought it. What's the deal with that chocolate, it has a funny name but I never really knew much about it.

I was saying that in the short term it would be beneficial for here, my concern is more long term it is a death sentence for CE.

It was rare but occasionally we would get new users coming here joining the community who weren't just troll alts, that's not going to happen any more.

In the short term though? This is a very beneficial change.

Gamefaqs itself might get new users, but not current events. For example, a friend of mine recently got into video games few months back and started visiting gamefaqs for the guides of old games and specific game boards, but there is no way in hell he'll ever peruse social boards and subsequently CE.

So the 5% chance of a new user stumbling upon ce is almost nonexistent, regardless if they closed off this board or not. I was on gamefaqs 2 years before I was told about CE, definitely would not have looked for it on my own. So in the modern age, ain't no one gonna be visiting this place least of all the new gens

My three-year-old Samsung fridge can't go more than two weeks without the ice maker dripping, refreezing, and forming a berg that prevents the tray from being removed.

my family has two fairly old large chest freezers and we clean them and scrape the ice off once per year. honestly it's probably a good thing since it also helps us index whatever's in the freezer so we don't lose track of things

Found some expired shrimp when that happened, lamented the loss of such a delicious (and expensive) food.

I'm glad that modern freezers have all but eliminated the ice accumulation problem where your freezer keeps getting smaller and smaller as more ice forms around the inside until you're forced to thaw it out to have any hope of using it.

I wouldn't know since I've never had a falafel that wasn't incredibly dry.

While that's unfortunate, a good temporary workaround until finding a better place that prepares them for you is to dip it in hummus, especially while fresh and still piping hot.

Incidentally, if some of you were wondering about the falafel topic if it was halal or even kosher, usually yes it is. However, be warned that if the falafel was deep fried in bacon grease then no, it would no longer be halal or kosher.

I personally would recommend airbaking it to eliminate this worry altogether plus it's just healthier ergo better.

I've never thought those other hosts looked particularly different from year to year, none of them quite compare to Kelly's transformation.

I mean I personally would have preferred if they tweaked the announcement so that it's merely an auto-ban for anyone who uses that pathetic internet terminology like the one in quotes, and anyone who does vegy's recent trend of misspelling words like "the" that he's been doing the past 6 years.

So the topics can still kind of exist (up to a point, if maybe they're subversive or humorous) and it's just the user that gets banned if they use that pathetic terminology instead of typing like an actual human being.

I have no problems eating mangoes. But once every blue moon (like most recently last month) my mouth gets a little itchy after having eaten some mangoes and there's some redness around my mouth.

Same thing happened with shrimp. I have no issue with shellfish. Yet I just ate shrimp and an hour later the area around my mouth feels slightly swollen or inflamed it's weird. I eat shrimp every week and this happens maybe thrice a year? But every time it does I don't know why it happens.

Maybe I should have saved it for the 500th post, woulda been more epic that way

Loool I went to poll of the day a couple months ago... and my jaw dropped with how dead it was. Sure it was never as active as ce, more chill, but this wasn't chill this was straight tundra. The front page had posts from like 5 days ago, seems like the board was averaging 3 posts a day at best.

You know what this is like? I been watching planets of the ape which I'll be making a topic about soon and this is like when ce treats CyricZ like Caesar from the movies. So cool.
