There's some speculation that Disney is actually the one trying to pull them from the streaming service, likely because they already have plans for where to put the shows.

There's also speculation that this is because Disney might try to do either a new season of DD or some sort of revival series.

Keep in mind there's also rumors that we may see Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones pop up in one of the upcoming Disney+ series.

They only had the distribution rights. The shows themselves were produced by ABC studios, which is of course owned by Disney.

Disney+ has the Simpsons in its entirety, dude. And I'd put some of their other Marvel stuff on par with the Netflix shows.

There's not been a single moment in any Marvel show that compares to a guy's head being smashed off with a car door, with the decapitated body being shown.

And The Simpsons is relatively tame especially compared to adult cartoons that have come out after it.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to go to Disney+ directly since that's where literally all the other MCU stuff is?

In the U.S., Disney+ is a family-friendly streaming service so they'll probably use Hulu for more mature content.

Although there's a possibility they'll expand Disney+ to have more adult content (probably with a disclaimer).

Do not recommend vaping. Oral consumption or absorbing through the skin is safer.

Dry herb vaporizers use the actual bud instead of oil, so they're not only better for you than smoking it, but any herb that gets vaped can be reused for edibles since the weed gets cooked and not burned.

I don't really see how that runs afoul of copyright, but I guess it doesn't matter to YouTube

I guess the issue is that these were toys for the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion movie and they were concerned about "spoilers"...except that if these channels were able to preorder these items, then they were already shown to the public.

Honestly the situation is all sorts of fucked and the only people who got punished were the only ones who didn't do anything wrong

TL;DW Two Jurassic Park toy reviewers received product early (as in they placed an order on legit e-tailers who happened to receive and ship the products before the intended release date) and they reviewed it. Mattel went straight to YouTube without contacting the content creators to file a copyright strike against those channels. I believe at least one channel got completely shutdown as a result.

Im saying that its extremely ridiculous to say that the fact that youre discounting people for things completely unrelated to their accomplishments seems unfair to them.

You know what's unfair? That there's probably some kid who has the potential to be way "smarter" than Gates, Bezos or Musk who will never get the opportunity to aspire to their level of success because he lost the genetic lottery.

That to me sounds like a bigger injustice than pointing out that billionaires aren't so supremely superior to the common mortal man that it justifies their massive fortunes.

People like Musk and Bezos who started their fortune thanks to their rich background are clear examples of not being self-made, but to say that someone isnt that just because they have used something that someone else created, especially when its unavoidable, is incredibly pedantic. Like you could say that they cant be self-made because they walked on the planet since they didnt create it.

Then who is self-made?

It's also not pedantic to point out that someone benefits from a certain aspect of society that others may not have access to through no fault of their own.

The hell? So then no one ever got anywhere by themselves ever, since they needed their parents to take care of them after birth?

Not entirely by themselves, no.

Everyone relies on some aspect of society that they aren't responsible for to get to where they are today.

Bezos received $300,000 from his parents to start Amazon.

Elon Musk's dad owned a mining company in Apartheid South Africa and his dad was filthy rich, as were the parents of Bill Gates.

Hell, ALL of these guys own multibillion dollar corporations that are only successful because of laborers doing the work that produces company profits.

So who are these so-called "self-made billionaires" you guys speak of?

Keep in mind that things such as "skill" or "intelligence" more often than not correlate to someone's economic background and the opportunities available to them so even from that perspective, "skill" and "hard work" are not the sole or even biggest factors to success. Sometimes you can make up for either or both by being rich, but just mediocre enough to pass with a C-.

"drive to succeed" also doesn't really have any bearing on success

capitalism necessitates the existence of an exploited underclass to function. if everyone were skilled and driven to succeed, there wouldn't be more successful people; there would just be a lot more unsuccessful people who are also skilled and driven.

it's functionally a gigantic pyramid scheme. whether or not "anyone" can succeed is irrelevant -- "everyone" can't. the system cannot sustain that

Exactly. No matter how skilled your society is, someone is gonna need to be a burger flipper or a Wal-Mart greeter.

People are actually far more skilled now on average than previous generations, and yet that hasn't translated to more economic success.

It is only reality, and it does not care for advantage or disadvantage. Time and entropy will move on without you.

If you take someone so profoundly intellectually disabled they are wheelchair bound and nonverbal and a genius and let them run amok in the wild, one will succeed and one will quickly die.

There is a spectrum that exists in between those two. Varying success will follow that spectrum. Your take is a bitter one.

This is some ableist shit right here frfr

Just because you built a business from the ground up doesn't mean you're 100% entirely self-sufficient, receiving no help from others.

Not to mention a lot of successful businesses literally are a case of being in the right place at the right time, since most businesses are trying to fulfill a need in a given market.
