I know Doom 3 fans are in the minority among the greater Doom fandom but I adore it. I think it's more doom-like than people give it credit for. Such a terrible game but it's fun as fuck to completely break the Junction system, and Triple Triad alone is worth slogging through the main story. Also Zelda 2. I just really enjoy it, but admittedly I also grind quite a few levels early on before really diving in, which tends to be boring but makes the mid and late game more manageable. OG Metroid 2. I played that game so much the maps are permanently burned into my brain. It hits so many of my sweet spots so hard that its shortcomings don't add up, and doesn't have the dealbreaking flaws of the otherwise glorious Symphony of the Night. --- Everything you love was always woke, and its less woke than it used to be, and that's why its not as good anymore, because its less woke.
