Chimera Ant is really great...I'm mindblown by how Togashi ended it. In general, HxH plays around with shonen conventions a lot and I think that's what makes the series stands above the rest.

It might have been a bad decision on my part to watch the Steins;Gate anime first. It kinda turns me off from the VN. Since the first episodes of the anime were so slow, boring, confusing, and very dull looking with dead browns and sickly greens. But maybe one day...

Both Neil Patrick Harris' and Raul Esparza's Company are out there and they're both great. The NPH version also has Elaine Paige.

Legally Blonde's MTV showing is available on YouTube though the recording quality is meh.

Billy Elliot the Musical Live is another good quality live recording though I don't fancy the musical too dearly, but it's not bad. Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway should also be easily found.

And then of course there's Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.

I've always loved this song. The concept is genius and it's executed well. And the movie version of Chicago is really good too so that doesn't hurt. This is really something that was obviously invented for the stage though it made the transition well to the screen as well. Pure theatre magic.

3. This Is Halloween

Another classic. It's a great way of introducing Halloween Town's creepy but lovable residents and how varied they are. Man, it's a shame we didn't get to see more of them in KH. It's actually pretty short, just about 3 minutes, but it's so rich with content and it flows so well that you feel satisfied without being bored.

Okay, let's a-go. Not sure how much/often I can play since on the 7th I'll be sent to work at another city for 3 months meaning I can't take my home TV and modem (but I might buy a cheap TV to play and resell it), but hey live for the moment, carpe diem, etc.

I think I got spoiled about something but hey hopefully it wouldn't ruin the game for me. One of the party members, the one guy with shoulder-length brown hair is a mole/traitor/bad guy.

So we started at a Casino heist as the tutorial where I'm thrown right into the action. Slick UI as expected. Shooting the enemy felt satisfying.

What's interesting is that apparently in this game, normies figure out about the other world, to the point an ace prosecutor caught me and knew all about me stealing hearts and stuff. Welp. Can't wait to get back to this point of the game in 35 hours!

I'm naming the guy Rakka Houdera, which is a Japanization of my name. Normal difficulty because I want to enjoy the game.

And now it's back to where I started. I have to live with this guy Sakura-chan who's old and grumpy just because I'm a nasty violent criminal smh give me a break. My room is a pigsty. Can't wait until I can summon birds and mice to help me clean up the room and sew a beautiful phantom thief outfit for me.

Igor's new voice is so different wtf. And the lolis are not nice. I miss Elizabeth already. :( They're probably better than Margaret though.

So we went to school and the principal is also grumpy. Miss Toriumi isn't happy I'm in her class and some creepo teacher hits on her and boasts about his volley ball team. Yeah $10 says this guy will be a heist target later on.

After being thread on some more by Sakura-chan I decided enough is enough and went to sleep for now.

Things I know about P5 (might not be 100% accurate):
1. It introduced like 20 new elements (Radiation and Fairy among others) to the battle system
2. You need ammo for the gun
3. So many things to do like P4 but a bit worse
4. The Social Links are actually tied to the game system so you can't turn on subtitles until you max Hierophant arcana or some such
5. Futaba is cute, Haru is a warrior of justice and barely in the game, Makoto has a stick up her ass, Ann is there
6. Ryuji is a good bro, Morgana is a pain in the ass who forcefully closes your game if you've played more than 15 minutes like a reverse Duolingo, and that painter guy is kooky
7. The social links I know are Sakura-chan, a politician guy, hot goth doctor, the teacher, the twin loli, the party members of course, the weapon shop guy?
8. Everyone has dorky names and cool masks. And the main party's Persona are all criminals, particularly thieves.
9. The Phantom Thieves change people's hearts by going into their...hearts and then steal their...hearts.

Well, this one's a classic. I find it intriguing that JC nominated the movie version. I mean, this is the movie that really got me into musicals so hey, I don't hate it or anything.
But yeah, this is a great one. Crowd songs can be sung by the ensemble, the cast, or a combination of both. But in an ensemble cast like Les Mis, this epic everyone-come-together-before-the-climax approach really is the best. It not only recaps everyone's stories but also hype you up for what's coming next. Though I have to dock a few points because it's not really my favorite version (though I tolerate Crowe's singing, it's not really the best).

Another favorite full of memories. I was Mme. Thernadier twice and messed up both times. I always love a crowd song that displays different points of view of one moment. I also always feel that 'one day before the climax' is a very romantic and powerful moment. So lots of love for One Day More!

The Book of Mormon is chock-full of great crowd songs, and it's obvious from the very first song of this hilarious and somewhat vulgar musical. This is really great because they just set the tone and characters of the musical really well -- that is, the bright-eyed optimism of the Mormon missionaries, their sincere belief in their religion, and Elder Cunningham's a bit oddball personality. It's just really good and fun when the elders' greetings are overlaid on top of each other then they come together and harmonize nicely near the end. I'm a bit sad nobody nominated Turn It Off

I can't recall the last turn-based RPG I played with computer-controlled allies. It's just such a bad idea.

I enjoyed it, for what it's worth! It's a fun gimmick though annoying at times, which is like many other gimmicky gameplay elements in JRPGs.

I think I fucked up with Connor's route so much that I didn't know what Hank's son's name is (or even that he had a son). He ded lol, poor boy. I did try to get closer to Hank but I always made the wrong choice. I went deviant but it was too little too late.

Kara and Alice went to Canada safely, and Luther is with us too. Stole the tickets (come on, good Samaritans would help a human family with a baby in tow) and sacrificed Jerry (legit had to Google who Jerry even was since I forgot him). Uneventful last leg of her story, but hey they've been through a lot.

And Markus saved the world with the power of love. Wanted to go full pacifist but just because I set one stupid gazebo on fire and apparently it became a violent riot. Come on. Well, at least it ends well enough. The naked Android crowd at the end is kinda creepy though. Were they supposed to be androids converted by Connor?

Overall, the story really is pretty obviously derived from black slavery, but hey, it's OK to draw inspiration from history. There are some weird things like how apparently IT security is at all time low that any android can hack them. And I think the Jericho main party's characterization is a bit off? I can never know who's for a violent uprising and who advocates peace.

Also this is my first full experience with current gen gaming (bought the PS4 last week on a sale) and man, the graphics, UI, and cinematography are neat.

Well, it's not really a big deal for now, TBH. But some later events like Christmas of next year and Halloween/Christmas of 2020 require the players to have finished at least Solomon or even the newest Singularities.
