I'm not doubting his credentials, I'm saying that if he posts something that people want to believe deep down is true then it will be the word of law, but if its the type of post that others do not want to believe then it will be pointed out that in the end its still someone that is making guesswork and thus still isn't a actual source for sales. I don't ignore that at all. Just because gamers speak in extremes doesn't mean he is saying anything contradictory. The game is selling around half of what FFVII did. It is underperforming. That doesn't mean it flopped and that the sales are awful.

There is nothing that indicates he is only guessing these sales figures. He works for a company that specifically has Square-Enix as a client to provide analysis. Obviously that will include information that we are not privy to.

When someone like Daniel Ahmad or Mat Piscatella post something about sales figures they're about as reliable as it can possibly get outside of the publisher themselves as this is literally their day to day job. They're not hiding behind an anonymous account. They work with these companies and they are considered a source of information. They are liable and responsible that the things they say are accurate.

It appears you are emotionally invested in this because this isn't something you want to hear. If Square-Enix was happy and confident with Rebirth's sales they would have celebrated them by now. They didn't. But again this doesn't mean the game was some massive flop. It means there's absolutely nothing notable about the sales to celebrate or show off to investors.

* Switch doesnt have enough power to run it.
So this is pretty much as good as it gets for sales. Blaming the PS5, the best selling 9th-generation console by at least a 3-to-1 margin, is misguided.

Final Fantasy needs to be on PC day one. If Square-Enix aren't going to treat Final Fantasy as a priority then neither will PC gamers.

Perhaps but it's not a great long term move. Less sales now means there's less to work with later. Sony isn't going to pay forever.

I think overall the Final Fantasy VII Remake is a decade too late. It would have sold better during the PS3 generation. That was when the hype for this was at full steam. Oh well.

I don't think teenagers of today could give a single shit about this game or series at this point.

In the long run it'll be fine. They'll re-release it and bundle it as long as video games exist.

It's not PS5 exclusivity specifically I think. A lot of it goes back to Remake too. That was PS4 exclusive, then on Epic Store for a timed period and then finally ended up on Steam over two years after its initial launch. Now here we are again and no sign of a Steam release.

Playstation isn't the JRPG machine anymore. Hasn't been for a long time. Obviously it can't run well on Switch but no PC is dumb.

But also Final Fantasy itself peaked with VII nearly 30 years ago. Why would anyone under 30 care about any of these games?

If we want to put on our capitalism hat on the reason they change up April is pretty easy to understand. They want to experiment with changing up the character to try and appeal to young girls of the time. Slapping a pink bandana on a fifth Ninja Turtle didn't work out very well.

Different April O'Neil designs means girls and women have different outfits they can draw inspiration from. It's not like there's anyone else they can mess around with.

It's funny because every other group of cartoon animal people designed to sell toys and merchandise generally have a girl character to fill that role already.

This isn't a sentence said to me about April or any character ever.

Fallout does have towns. It doesn't have major and modern cities.

The cities in Fallout 2 like Vault City were progressing to be pretty modern and futuristic. Nothing has really matched that since. Bethesda always want the series to look like it's post-apocalyptic. Towns are always going to be built around a ruin. Houses will always have skeletons in them. The roads will always be broken down. Etc.

Mad Max is also a movie series.

Fallout these days is overall designed around being an open world sandbox RPG. That's going to take precedence over anything else.

Sure the Fallout TV show could have done something else with it but their goal would have been for it to resemble the Bethesda Fallout games. That's the entire reason it exists. That's the IP they're banking on.

Even Fallout 2 decided on canon endings and decisions to base the sequel around.

If a new story references that setting it's gonna be a necessity to either pick something or wipe it clean. New Vegas did it with 2 as well.

I liked Sonic Adventure a lot more and still do.

But to be fair I played 1 as a kid but didn't play 2 until I was an adult. So that has probably warped it a bit. I just really missed those hubs and I found the treasure hunting and robot levels to be worse.

The shrink stuff was gen 1 lore but it was found in the 1997 Pokdex guide exclusive to Japan. The original anime did in fact show that Pokemon shrink and are just chilling in a sphere.

We were all in denial as to why they are called Pocket Monsters

It doesn't matter anymore since the IP is dead but everything regarding Sarah Fisher after Splinter Cell Double Agent is stupid.

She was a normal young woman who was killed in a hit and run. That's sad but also realistic. There's a cutscene that shows it happening.

Then Conviction changes it that the Government faked her death because there was an unknown mole who would use her death against Sam. It's such a stupid choice considering how mundane and not personal anything regarding Sam was in the previous games. The entire thing is that barely anyone knows Sam and Third Echelon exist.

Now there's some podcast series and Sarah Fisher herself is now a Splinter Cell agent. It's stupid! The charm of Sam in those first three games was that he overall had a normal life and daughter waiting for him while he had to do serious work. It was never supposed to be some over the top James Bond thing. Third Echelon becoming a bad guy faction in Conviction was also stupid.

I wonder how they'll position it. Like it's not unusual for a comic book story to be positioned as a alternate universe or what if thing.

But releasing it as a live action movie is maybe going to give the impression that this is how the TMNT story ends and continues. It's interesting for such a family friendly brand and cast of characters.

Social media killed parody movies. By the time a parody movie comes out the references and jokes about it have already been run to the ground.

The first Scary Movie came out 4 years after Scream. A movie like this coming out this year would still be making Thanos jokes and references.

The dude has to work with emotional and egotistical strong men every single day. These guys think of themselves as literal alphas who will absolutely dunk on people who can't cut it.

I think studying every single potential movement to pick who is right or wrong is a waste of time honestly. I'd be absolutely shocked if they didn't renew his contract considering they're going to Glasgow for Clash at the Castle later this year.

The guy just screams money at the moment with how he works social media and his feud with Punk.

CM Punk can't even wrestle at the moment. The guy just pops up for the odd segment with Drew McIntyre. Who coincidentally is in a feud where he is obsessed with Punk to his own detriment and isn't focused on his matches.

It's overall hard to say how common or uncommon fights backstage are. Like Kurt Angle said a few years ago that Undertaker choked him out on a plane back in the day. But he didn't raise a fuss about it so it didn't matter. It wasn't news it was an anecdote.

I think for the most part there's not as much drama between the guys these days but who knows.

Wrestling is a really weird business in general. There's a culture of paying dues, receipts etc.

I'm more asking why AEW thinks it benefits their product to show backstage footage that relates to a wrestler who got fired nearly a year ago and now works for the biggest competitor.

Especially since WWE specifically loves taking advantage of smark drama to give their feuds and promos more legitimacy. Something they have already done with Punk.

What was the point in showing this? I don't watch AEW but this makes them look pretty desperate?

The funniest thing about the Now You See Me movies is that the pitch itself could lead to incredibly clever stuff. But it doesn't. These movies are dumb and the people writing and directing don't give a shit. They'll just do some CGI magic and call it a day. You're not supposed to question it.

So it makes total sense that these same people won't call a sequel Now You Don't. That's too clever.

There are dating websites and I believe also dating agencies for people on the spectrum. But it would also depend on how popular it is in your area and where you live.

It's something that definitely makes it trickier but there are people out there willing to help.

I have no experience at all with that at all myself. I don't think GameFAQs in general is probably a good place if you want to try and find connections out there as I think a there's a vocal section of people here who prefer to be in a rut. Local Facebook groups and stuff like that could be a potential option to. But if you want that you'll have to go looking on your own. Nobody can make you try.

The first Blair Witch is lightning in a bottle. Like right at that perfect time where the internet could spread urban legends and was a good way to viral market. A large amount of people would take it at face value. I don't even think watching it now has the same impact as it did back then.

Now it's a big name IP. These found footage movies tend to just have a build up to a haunted house ride for the climax and that's it. It's hard to imagine this being anything other than just another movie like 2016. Spooky things happen in a forest, they find the house from the first movie, there's a a twist to make the movie try and feel distinct and then it ends.

They'll probably add some gimmick like they're live streaming it or something to make it modern too.

Why is this game so difficult to remake?

They originally gave it to an unproven Ubisoft studio in India. The trailer didn't look good and the game was given to Ubisoft Montreal to fix it. Even though the release date was only a few months away they decided to completely scrap it and start again. So here we are.

It's similar to what happened to Metroid Prime 4 and Final Fantasy VII Remake. The original developers were fired off the project and it was restarted again under a different studio so what eventually comes out didn't really start development until a couple of years after it was announced.

Dead Space 1 still plays and handles very well, so I also agree that this remake seemed wildly unnecessary.

RE4 felt like a much bigger departure despite still feeling similar to the OG for the way the game handles alone.

A baby has no real context of horror. It's upset or scared because Mom isn't in view or because they're hungry. I don't think there's anything for Pennywise to really feed on.

For an actual defenseless baby? I don't think any of the actual characters would. There's no hunt in it. Beasts and animals like the xenomorph or Cujo would sure. If there's a villain that is dictated by a curse then I suppose they would too.

I never called it a messed up desire. I called it a fantasy.

People can want a 40 year old nerd woman virgin all they like. Sure maybe some exist out there. But do they live nearby? Why are they a 40 year old virgin and why would they go for a 40 year old virgin man? How are they going to meet?

People and relationships aren't some checklist that someone is going to just magically appear and live up to. These are people who have their own lives, wants, desires, shortcomings etc. If you are someone who absolutely cannot compromise over anything or get anxious over the most basic social tasks then chances are the hopes for a relationship are dead before they have even started.

Because this hypothetical person isn't a goal or a realistic standard. It's a fantasy for someone who fantasizes about getting into a relationship with someone who has the exact same hobbies and shortcomings so they don't need to do anything to improve as a person or give any effort. The reality is a relationship is constantly about compromise, improving and trying.
