Because Starfield and Sea of Thieves are rumored to be going multiplatform. Sony fanboys think this signals the end of Microsoft making consoles and going entirely third party, and Microsoft fanboys are upset at the loss of exclusivity. Note that none of this has been confirmed yet, and we don't know what will be talked about at the 'business update event' next week. It's all speculation.

It's basically spread to that all their stuff will eventually go multiplat.

This thing is over a week away. Even if it is just Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves how are they gonna walk back from that perception?

That's not even going into the rumors that they are ditching physical media this year too.

Stuff like Starfield, ok, I guess not a system seller so make back what they can on it. But if they don't keep some good games to themselves there's little reason to buy their stuff. There's not even a PC delay like Sony's new strategy. If you have no exclusives there's not much reason to get your console. Gamepass can only go so far.

Yeah Starfield has those too. I liked the clone planet and the one that was basically Alien. The difference is in Starfield you can't really just explore and find them. You either get them from a town or a spaceship hailing you.

I liked Starfield. I just did the major questlines though and moved on once done. That's how I always play Bethesda games lol

Sony leadership is a lot different now than just a couple years ago. They notice the changing times hence why they are bringing games to PC and expanding mobile.

So why isn't Ubisoft+ Premium on Playstation.

Even from Microsoft's perspective they would have to be looking at if it's worth bothering with if they don't care about selling consoles and the their ecosystem anymore. They haven't made any promises to Playstation gamers.

The thing is Sony is pretty strict with game subscriptions. They blocked EA Access for years. Neither it or Ubisoft+ has day one games.

Call of Duty is a huge revenue driver for them.

Why would Sony agree? They don't really get anything out of it. Kinda seems like Xbox don't have much of an upper hand for anything here.

Another potential hint is that Nadella stopped putting Game Pass as a bonus milestone last year and shifted to just gaming revenue.

Their envisioned future is having everyone signed up for gamepass regardless of what platform they do it on.

This is assuming that Game Pass will be on PS5 and Switch.

It's also possible they're shifting away from Game Pass and just end up becoming the biggest third party publisher on consoles.

This isn't just about Starfield.

Hi-Fi Rush was the first rumored port. Then Sea of Thieves. Now Starfield and also Indiana Jones.

The days of Xbox exclusive console games may be done.

If that is true I think that would be basically it for Xbox hardware. That's them conceding their own console market will never be enough to facilitate their own games.

Long story short, Cody Rhodes has been prepped as the new top good guy in WWE for a year or two. The Rock was also made a board member of WWE's parent company last week, a higher position than anyone on the creative team.

Cody won the Royal Rumble Saturday (meaning he got to main event Wrestlemania), and called out the champion Roman Reigns after the match. But last night on Smackdown, Cody basically came out and said "I won't become champion at Wrestlemania, but I spoke with someone who will", and The Rock came out, and Cody just left while The Rock and Reigns had a staredown.

Surely they must have known The Rock was coming back before the Royal Rumble. Why would they book it like this?

GAAS is like DLC, paid online, and MTX. Pisses gamers off up until something else comes along that pisses them off and it becomes the norm. Once GAAS becomes the norm they'll probably try and push NFTs or Metaverse shit again.

Suicide Squad probably won't do well because that's a game that's still overall attempting to appeal to our demographic and failing.

But we can see the most played list and where most of the money is going. It's not the games that most people talk about on here and places like Reddit. It's games like Fortnite. The data shows that most gamers play a game like Fortnite or a sports game for most of the year and maybe will be briefly distracted by something else before going back to it. It already is the norm but it's probably not because of vocal online gamers. They're just quickly becoming a loud minority compared to the younger audience.

Of course we're still an audience that exists so whatever. There's room for both. This headline sounds like bullshit anyway.

Ratatouille, Wall-E and Up came out right after I was past that whole "Pixar movies are for babies and I don't watch baby stuff anymore!" stage as a teenager and man what a great run of movies those three were.

Nintendo overall makes games with fidelity that matches the PS3 and 360 generation.

To compare FFXIII was 18GB on the 360, 36GB on PS3 and 60GB on PC. Looks like the biggest difference is due to the quality of the pre-rendered cutscenes. Take away those and it's probably not that dramatically different lol
