We're on Day 3 here (bit north of Houston). No energy, no water, half inch of ice on the roads, and about 4 inches of snow. My girlfriend and I are running out of supplies and candles, so we're probably going to make the 3 mile walk today to the store.

Its best just to take the fall. Majority of wrist injuries happen because people try to break their fall.
:( when I fall I usually fall back not forward

wwinterj25 posted...
I love snow but hate ice. I slip and slide a lot and it's only a matter of time before I fall on my arse. I've never had any serious injury yet though.
That's good. I bet it's a lot icier where you are than where I am, in general

JoanOfArcade posted...
Don't you think you're being melodramatic?
Maybe a bit. I've never broken a bone so idk how much it hurts, but if it was actually fractured I feel like it would feel worse than it does.

SunWuKung420 posted...
Sorry. It is always best to roll into a fall rather than brace yourself for impact.

Do wrist rolls to check your range of movement and pain level.
Next time!
I'm doing a lot of typing and sipping tea, and my wrist is managing. Painful, but full range of motion.

It's icy outside but I went to check the mail and slipped. I stretched out my hand and sorta fell on it. Tore my pants and have a bloody knee sigh. My wrist hurts a bit to move, and is looking kinda swollen. Not sure if it's fractured or if it just hurts.

"common sense" isn't a very good line to draw, imo. It's common sense not to smoke a pack a day or to go out to a restaurant during a pandemic, too. Not much is done about that by the federal government.

I'd say the right place to draw the line is when it goes from endangering yourself to endangering yourself and others.. It can be annoying to have to wear a seatbelt, but if you're a parent and there are children depending on you and your refusal to wear one leaves your kid(s) without a parent, is that fair to them? Would it be fairer for the government to step in and force you to do something you don't like for the children's sake?

It's one thing to be free to make your own decisions, but if you can't be responsible enough to make the right decisions when other people are involved, then it falls to a higher power to make the right decision for you.
Leaving your children without a parent isn't really "endangering", them though.

would you support different laws (regarding seatbelts) for parents vs. childless people? What about single parents vs. those with a partner? What about pet owners?

The government should take away people's "right" to do something of it is in the people's self-interest, or for their health, etc. this includes stuff like making vaccinations mandatory, and K12 schooling, and seatbelts

In general, should people be able to do things that are hurting them (whether intentionally or not) without reprimand, or should the government try to stop people with fines, jail time, taxes, yadayada

Bomb is great for hard and fast punk/ska. I'd recommend starting with Get Warmer.

solo is more pop punk I guess. Solid starting point is "We Cool" but "Worry" is his opus. No Dream is my personal fav.

okay so what are your favorite ska albums
Of the top of my head, the big ones are everyone's favs

The Specials - Self-Titled
Opration Ivy - Operation Ivy
The Toasters - Don't Let Bastards Grind You Down
The Beat - I Just Can't Stop It
The Slackers - Wasted Days
Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb
Catch 22 - Keasby Nights
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Don't Know How to Party
Rancid - ... And Out Come the Wolves

i think Jeff Rosenstock is probably my favorite musician right now and I absolutely love everything he does. The Arrogent Sons of Bitches album is definitely ska, and I consider Bomb The Music Industry to be ska. His solo career is probably more punk than ska, but literally every solo album is at least an 8/10 imo.

my fav of Jeff Projects are

The Arrogant Sons of Bitches - Three Cheers for Disappointment

Bomb the Music Industry - Album Minus Band | To Leave or Die in Long Island | Get Warner | Adults!!!: Smart!!! Shithammered!!! And Excited by Nothing!!!!!!!

Jeff Rosenstock - I look Like Shit | Worry. | N O D R E A M

Of the 3DAS collection, I think 64 is the best. Besides the camera being terrible, I had fun in basically every level. I loved exploring the castle grounds and messing around with the wing cap in certain levels. I feel like it had so much fun stuff to do.

Sunshine was my least favorite tbh. Repetitive, and the blue coins annoyed me. Plus that lilypad level had me stuck for daaayyyyysss.

Overall, Odyssey is my favorite Mario game though. tbh it's probably my fav game of all time. Playing it last year was 100% the reason for me revitalized interest in video games. Before I played it, I hadn't beat a video game in 6+ years. I owned a switch and had played Smash for maybe ten hours on it. Now I have a backlog of games I need to play lmao.

The first time was last April, and was the first time this had happened since I was a kid. I didn't think much of it, maybe just drank too much water before bed or something. but now I done did it again. So now I'm searching the internet for what might be wrong with me.

best I can figure is maybe it's a medication side affect? I just got an increase in my zoloft dosage. And Ithink I started taking zoloft in February. Doesn't seem to be a listed side effect though

have you ever wet the bed as an adult? Was it because of some terrible rare disease found on WebMD?
