Yeah. I used my free PS+ subscription to back my saves up when I got a new hard drive, so if I want to get some older save captures, I could do that. Kinda want to, but why buy PS+ on PS3 for that price when Nintendo is about to drop an online service for $30 a year (Aus $)?

People bitch about Nintendo Online being required for cloud saves, but this shit is just as bad and it's locked behind a worse paywall.

My DS3 won't even keep a charge anymore

I had a pretty solid fake controller, the batteries were shit by the end but it was a true companion. Got it pre-owned for ten bucks, and it soldiered on til the end.

The first sign of my PS3's death was that it wouldn't connect to wireless controllers. My fake one wouldn't connect without a cord, so I assumed that it had finally kicked the bucket. I wanted a real DS3, so I decided to go to my local game story to buy one for $60 - in 2016 mind you, what the fuck - and they only had a similar fake type to my "dying" controller. I bought it like a chump.

Fresh out of the box, and it was a crusty, unresponsive piece of shit. It looked just like my old bootleg one, but it didn't fucking feel like it. And it was when this crusty asshole didn't connect to my PS3 wirelessly that I knew it was a problem with my console. It died like two months later.

Game store has no more dualshock 3 controllers. I hear they're hard to come by online. I've lost my low-charge bootleg, and I'm stuck with the low quality ripoff. It sucks.

I mean, if someone keeps goading an adult with "I'm a 14 year old, fuck me fuck me fuck me!", then the adult should have the moral fibre to realise that they can't do that shit and step away from the chat. They have the opportunity to say no, to be a reasonable and non-creepy adult, but they "give in". As in, they go to meet who they specifically think is a child. Occasionally with alcohol.

That line of "these poor folks are having something dangled in front of their faces until they snap!" is pretty bad, since they'd have to find the prospect of fucking children enticing to begin with.

Zikten's response reminds me of that recent Dawkins post where he alleged that a 14 year old got him drunk and he had a threesome with her and another person. If he had any basic human decency, he would have stepped away, stopped hanging around with a fucking adolescent, even just refused the alcohol. But he didn't - he found a creepy situation that he was fine with, and he took full advantage. I would imagine that many people who get caught like this are the same kind of gross, opportunistic scumbags.

So before I took a break from CE, I was pretty buttmad at how this game was shaping up. I didn't like the change in ganeplay, or the whole son aspect - my reasoning was that it felt like they were gonna kill Kratos and have you play as the kid as the next God of War. I like the dumb beat-em-up PS2/P/3 titles, and I didn't think God of War needed to mature or be reimagined as a whole new thing. I made a massive maximum-character rant about it a year or two before it came out.

I never thought I'd be as wrong as I ended up being. I didn't play the game, because it just isn't the sort of game I'd really like to play - but I did watch my friend play it on his PS4, and it was really fucking good to experience. Shout-out to the Blades of Chaos reveal and Athena's minor cameo - I was really fucking drunk when this part happened, and I lost my shit.

The word doesn't have any racist connotations by itself, but it has a bad rap nowadays because of all the weird fuckers making messages like "Thug." and "This thug deserves life in jail", solely in topics about black people, with this level of emphasis on the word. Nah. It's a way to artificially extend a franchise, and throw a perfectly fine bittersweet ending to the wolves.

The Madoka series ending was fine. I didn't care much for the show, but I did like the ending and it was serviceable. Rebellion had to fuck everything up about that ending, and I dislike it for that.

There really should be a better moderated sex classifieds page on the internet. Folks on Craigslist and such used to blatantly try to sell ice and other drugs through the services, with only a weak "community report" to help them locate the offending ads and take them down.

I guess with the age of dating and casual sex apps, online personals might be going the way of the dodo. Things are easier today for willing adults who want to engage in willing intercourse with others. But I still don't like that online classifieds are being taken down directly by shit like this. Take down the drug dealers and weird motherfuckers, by all means - moderate these cesspools until you weed out all the fuckwits. But taking the whole section down is a bit of a bummer.

Backpage wasn't too much of a loss, but Craigslist was an alright place to go (at least in Australia).

There is a cutscene that goes for like an hour. It plays a thirty minute cutscene, you get the option of saving after that, then it plays another thirty minute cutscene that picks up right where the last one left off.

I liked MGS4 for the most part, but this cutscene is ridiculous.

No the longest cutscene time is about 75 minutes with each section being just under or over 20 minutes in it's three part cut up but nice try. @MrMallard

A three part cutscene that takes about 75 minutes is arguably more fucked up than a two part cutscene of 30 minutes, anyway. That is feature-length, and a cutscene where you're prompted to save twice during its entire duration is still fucking ridiculous.

"Uh actually it's 75 minutes and needs two saves!" is hardly a defense. I like Kojima and Metal Gear, but that cutscene was fucking ridiculous.
