I dont care, if they have a game I want, at a fair price, in reasonable condition, I dont see why I wouldnt get it from them

Most of the problems are with their consoles who they claim are fully refurbished but usually arrive in a horrid state especially for the price. Even when buying games from them you are typically paying more than most other sites that sell games.

So really they seem to try to sell to people that have no fucking clue about what old games/consoles should cost or Grandma's who buy it for their Grandson and also have no fucking clue what they should cost. Grandson asks Grandma to buy him a Super Nintendo and she finds Dk Oldies by happenstance so there ya go.

They also typically don't ship consoles with the normal controllers made by the manufacturer so you can get some jank ass controllers if you buy from them.

Wow being team DKOldies when they have also ripped you off with subpar products. Umm is this a case of Stockholm syndrome?

Even if DKOldies make some funny or cute videos that doesn't mean shit if they are charging a high price for stuff then usually delivering not even the base level of what they should. There are also countless stores out there that also offer this stuff, it's not like the only place to get a Pokemon Gold is from DkOldies.

There are some pretty great mods for the game including one that really feels like it was made by the main developers where you play the bosses of the game. Now obviously you can't typically play these on console but if you do play Slay the Spire on PC or any number of PC handhelds you can utilize them.

I assume the developer might be working on a new game though, we just haven't heard about it yet.

The need for car ownership will never change until public transportation improves 10,000%. I am 68 years old and until 2 years ago when my car was destroyed by vandals and made unrepairable I had owned a car since 1971. The only reason I haven't starved to death is thanks to New Hampshire caring for it's elders more than any other state I know of. We have a community action program (free with voluntary donations) for elderly and disabled people to get to doctors and groceries and the like. Without that or a car I'd be dead now.

A lot of that shit is chicken or the egg scenarios, also I will point out in the modern world many areas have grocery delivery services. Now some small town in bum fuck nowhere might not have that but you can easily order groceries from a good number of grocery stores and they will deliver.

But yeah public transportation is heavily not a thing because of the car culture in America. Some cities do have a reasonable public transport and obviously larger cities typically do, but since so many in America buy cars and invest heavily into them it never becomes a major focus.

DeSantis is a real piece of shit, his selection process for finding his wife from what I heard on John Oliver's show was to take possible dates to a restaurant and gush repeatedly about Thai food but call it Thigh food over and over, if any of those dates dared to correct him he would eliminate them from having a future relationship.

You have to be a completely egotistical chauvinist pig to have this policy. So even those that believe in what DeSantis says still could find him a jackass based on that alone.

If I was that bad with cash in general, I would use purely credit/debit. Cash is a bigger hassle 9 times out of 10 anyways constantly having to worry about change back and dealing with a lot of random lower value coins/bills.

You make 10 purchases with credit/debit and you don't have to deal with shit meanwhile 10 purchases with cash only looks as good if you have near exact change every time.

Mountain Dew is the healthier choice for once!

To be fair milk shakes in general are horrible for you, though they are typically more filling then a soda. If someone drinks a shake of the same size as a can of coke or something, odds are they feel fuller longer.

It's why soda is so bad you can just chug it and it doesn't typically offer feeling full. It's also pretty rare to see someone constantly drink milk shakes but a soda drinker will likely have at least a few a week if not at least a few a day.

It wasn't a surprise Forrest Gump won it was a cultural phenomenon when it came out. Sure over time Pulp Fiction has proven to be the more noteworthy film but that took quite a while. It might be the most popular role Tom Hanks ever did especially if we go by on time of release.

This coming from someone who has Tarantino in his top 5 greatest directors easily.

Can an employer just deem their employees as tipped salary?

I thought it had to be a job where tips were common for that to happen like working as a wait staff at a typical sit down restaurant or something. Like if I run say a plumbing business and my employee receives a tip on average of 1 in 50 jobs does that mean I can then claim they are a tipped employee? Seems like a pretty damn ridiculous thing to me in that case, if you are receiving tips all the time sure maybe there is some leeway there but tips that are super rare should not trigger this.

The thing that really gets me is lately I've been hearing a lot of gambling ads and they always end with "have a problem call this number!" at the end and it always annoys me because anyone who hears that ad and goes "oh wow I'm hyped to throw my money away!" has a problem. Literally everyone they are aiming at with their ads has a problem.

Gambling is not always a problem, if you are the type to blow say $100-200 a year on gambling it likely doesn't become an issue. It's basically like saying everyone that enjoys a beer is an alcoholic.

My stepdad is a huge fan of betting on sports but he never bets huge amounts so he loses like $10-20 a game at most. He can easily afford that so even if he blows $200-300 a year on gambling it doesn't affect him. Someone that is losing say $5000-10000 a year on gambling has a major problem and it could destroy their lives financially unless they are making mad money.

If you had a subscription to Nintendo Power back then, you could have rented one with three games for three days for a reasonable price (I think $29.99). That is where most of the ones on the market came from, because I doubt many people wanted to go out and buy one after renting it and having to deal with all the crap.

That is how I tried it out.

I picked mine up from Toys R Us about 4 or 5 years after it came out. They were fire selling them brand new in the box for like $70. I was curious what it was like so paid that price, even at $70 it felt a bit overpriced. I assume it was just back stock that Toys R Us had that never sold that was sitting in a warehouse for a few years.

Turns out that buying them at that price would end up being a steal because now a new in box one has way more value on sites like Ebay. Even used they go for like $170 or more and that is if they are nowhere near mint condition.
