FF6 is fully realized as is. It was never hindered by aging technology, and can stand on it's own without a remake.

Also agree with this but still, a FF6 remake seems like a slam dunk decision, either 2-parter with the obvious split point or 3-parter if there's enough World of Balance content to sustain two full games, I can't recall; or alternatively if they do some 7R stretching of some segment(s). Maybe not a money-printer move like 7R was but it would be pretty awesome. Maybe someday!

What kind of challenge can Carolyn actually win though? Thinking of F4 challenges, well the first one that comes to mind is the "balls rolling down the contraption, grab them with only one free hand" and I just can't see her doing that.

Other than that it's what... balance challenges? stacking 10 blocks on a platform while holding a rope? What are we in store for...

pretty sure not. People were idol hunting and nobody found it (at least from what we saw)

when I tuned in, each player was going through their list of accomplishments/why they think they'll win (in the course of their failed idol hunt). And like... that's it I think. Carson wins challenge since it was a puzzle (literally the puzzle they showed him doing when he first brought up how he 3D printed puzzles iirc)

I am clinging to hope that bringing Yam Yam with him was a ploy to keep him away from camp so the other 3 will target him and he's out at F5

Shiki was one of the pickups after Roba's rankings topic (Sunday Without God the other), premise definitely intrigued me so am looking forward to checking that out. But in retrospect have to work through non-anime stuff after I do Steins;Gate 0 so probably not until later this summer, hmm.

On a happier note UshiromiyaEva, I was going to post this earlier but didn't since the SMFAS finals were up at the time, but I recently watched Steins;Gate. And loved it as expected! I remember you had Baccano and S;G as your top two favs so there we go, I knocked them each out over the past year.

Great episode, would've definitely loved Heidi going home but Danny certainly was the bigger threat. Carolyn getting lots of time to shine there, Carson remaining in the game, love it.

Also literally the first (and ideally last) time I root for Yam Yam to win anything in this game.

more excited for 90 minute AR than Survivor but yeah, will be interesting to see how it works out.

Honestly the Quantumania ranking is the one that's sticking out to me but I'm assuming that was already litigated in this topic and I don't want to retread ground on that. I don't know what I expected out of that movie but I really felt like I got nothing at all. But also if the "very very good" tier began above Eternals then I'd be on board with the top tier entrants.

My natural instinct is when you see "The Dark World", you've hit the bottom, but since it's not there I'm assuming that'll be the threshold... but curious to see what he says. Iron Man so low...

I got wayyyyyy too excited when those Heidi votes were rolling in, like I knew she wasn't going since she wasn't really discussed at all? They only discussed Danny and Kane at camp??? but damn, I wanted that so bad in that moment. And now she has an idol, boooo.

Still lots of good stuff in this episode, mostly highlighted above: nice "rest day" at camp, Frannie winning, "fake idol" chyron, Yam Yam subs, classic Carolyn. Overall good stuff.

If some of the other candidates trip up I can see it gaining momentum.

I think those trips needed to happen already & it's too late now, but maybe I'm underestimating things. The supporters from the run 2 years ago are on different priorities and there's a growing save gap... I'm not sure where the extra TTGL saves are going to come from!

I've got Steins;Gate and Odd Taxi in the final three but I'm not sure about the third series there... I will root for the continuing Mushishi run!

Edit: Oh while I'm posting @MysteriousStan I'm through episode 9 (didn't watch any for a while but now I'm cruising through multiple eps a day), and "the choice of Steins;Gate" keeps coming up in any version of subs and even if I switch to the english dub (which is awful, man I'm glad I stuck to subs on this). Am I eventually going to get "the will of Steins;Gate" or am I doomed to the weak "choice" for the entire series...?

Diablo II (original)

I played and loved Diablo back when it came out in the 90s, but for some reason I never got Diablo II. Maybe my computer specs weren't good enough but I think at that point I was deep into JRPGs, especially that 2000-2002 timeframe when it would've come out. With all the hype about Diablo IV nowadays I replayed original Diablo+Hellfire, and then finally went and bought/played Diablo II - original, not Resurrected (again my computer probably can't even play D2R lol). And I can see why D2 is so broadly loved, really is quite the improvement over the first (which I still really like!) Through Act 2 of nightmare mode now, didn't get the expansion.
