the only reason I tried the show was because I found out about the season 1 finale.

I honestly think it made the first season better overall. But that was just my wife and my experience.

Sure thing.

During the secret season Whisper was collecting secrets from wrestlers and using them to blackmail some people. This will be important a bit later.

Whisper clearly had some similarities to Ophidian in movement and also enjoyed hypnosis. Whisper used hypnosis to help the rudos, including giving Ophidians opponents immunity to the snake style hypnotism. Ophidian called him out and Whisper claimed to have secrets about Ophidian as well that he would reveal but Ophidian didn't care. Whisper then revealed that Ophidian was the fake 17 who infiltrated and betrayed the Gekido from a few seasons ago.

However Ophidian was still more focused on avenging Amasis and taking down Frightmare. This eventually led to a sarcophogus match. Ophidian lost and his sarcophogus was taken away by some druids.

As it was loaded into a truck one of the druids revealed themselves to be Whisper.

He stole Ophdiian's mask and name and declared himself the new and improved Ophidian and starteda mission to out due the old one in every way.

Right as he and the new Amasis earned 3 points 17 (obviously Ophidian) returned and used one of 17's deady holds on not-Amasis.

So now Ophidian is embracing his dark secret to take out the man who stole his identity.

I'm probably missing some details or have a few things mixed up but that is the gist of it.
