I don't know why anyone would go into it expecting Diablo IV after they said there wasn't going to be a big announcement at Blizzcon.

It's not that trailers make people like a character more. It's just bringing in more people who like those characters to the message boards.

If you're a DKC fan, and you see a reveal of a character you like, you're probably going to go to the Internet to talk about it. Where do you go to talk about games? A percentage probably come to the message boards here. Then they find a community they like and stay and vote in the polls.

He was listed as "Ren Amamiya/Joker" during noms so there was always a chance he would list "Joker" on the poll somewhere.

Based on this, I assumed he *would* be listed as Joker on the main screen. The name Ren doesn't even appear in game anywhere and is only used in the anime, as far as I'm aware. It wouldn't make sense to use his anime name when this is a gaming character contest.

Correct, the updater does not trigger from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Then it begins tracking the current polls at 12:00 AM. So it is necessary for me to support the updater for the first four hours. The updater is still operating under the assumption of a 12:00 AM start time and was never adjusted for this new 8:00 PM start time (to become 7:00 PM on the night following the November DST change).

The fact that you wrote a script to fix a bug in someone else's script is pretty impressive.
