Currently I feel HB is thoroughly thrusted. But that's why I'm encouraging him to do some reads on dowolf or... you know, anyone. Going into more depth on me or puns or lea would be fine too, really. I would just like something that resembles scumhunting and not defensive play.

Yeah I hate lists I agree with red

Flooding the town with information that doesn't decisively go in one direction accomplishes nothing (this is why I asked "why do you need nine" rather than playing)

But what I see is Chris going off still about HB. I'm still not sure I understand his original reasoning.

Not to put words in Chris's mouth but Chris's original reasoning is basically as I understand it that HB pulled out Chris's post about Ben as something important, but made no real attempt to do anything with the post himself. He didn't ask Chris about anything, didn't really investigate Ben, didn't really do much of anything with respect to the post so it just sounded like a way to butter Chris up while not really believing the post mattered.

Which is somewhat similar to the source of my suspicion. Mine is more centered on me in that I think that to truly be outraged, and not faking it, when I told red to skip posts, you should've had posts in mind that struck you as important-- which bridges into Chris's point. I also think he's been a bit stubborn in general, more stubborn than a town should be. I feel I'm being tunneled out of desperation because it would look scummy for him to remove the vote at this point-- his argument against me was that I only started contributing content once I had pressure on me (which is clearly not true because I haven't really ever had much pressure on me, and even if single votes were pressure it wasn't his vote that was first) and that I have been largely fluffy (I would say I haven't been mostly fluffy since the first topic because I have actual angles to consider now). His defense of the first was that he did not realize Ulti had voted me when he came to this conclusion, and he hasn't really defended the second. Were the suspicion genuinely from that argument I think a town player would re-evaluate at this point.

Does that all make sense or does none of this really make sense to you either.

I think it's ironic that Cam town cleared me for asking about incorrect vote syntax and then proceeds to vote with incorrect vote syntax roughly 17000 times

Some sort of next level play or coincidence you decide.

You should look into dowolf. I think seeing your reaction to a suspect you have no reason to be biased about will be very helpful for town to discern your alignment properly.

Okay on a PC actually read the topic over again.

Think my assessment of the lack of conviction behind hbthebattle's 'suspicion' of puns and lea was accurate. I don't feel a lot of heart there. It feels mostly like he's just bsing a reason to suspect people that are suspecting him.

hbthebattle do you have any suspicions of people not on your case right now? Because what I'm getting here feels mostly like thrashing under pressure more than an attempt to do well. I mean, you are my number one suspicion to be sure, but it is day one so it's possible I'm wrong because it's day one. If you're town, refocusing and give a non-reactionary view of who the possible scum in the game are could help your case tremendously.

I think wagons not forming on just anyone is a sign of the effort put forth. The cases on Mzero and Ben were lower effort so they didn't get wagons as easily. Says nothing about alignments

Though I am curious, hb, who on your lynch you suspect if you think it's getting momentum because of scum influence. Neither me nor Ben are even on it!

If Chris laid out a compelling case then why is there necessarily a need to add to it? If you have something to add, do so, but if you don't just appending some garbage is in the interest of making you look like town more than anything.

Also don't call me a sheep this is very clearly my lynch even if I don't have a vote on it

The question should be less whether a lynch has sheep and whether the case on the lynch has substance. Town can be sheepy. It's not inherently pro-town to put more lynch targets out there. In fact I'd call it anti-town if you don't think the case on them is legitimately better.

Well I was all ready to vote hbthebattle and now it looks unoriginal

To elaborate a bit on why, though, it's mostly because he has felt like he's been trying to say what I want to hear more than something honest. "Why, yes, I thought of this post!" "In what way" "Well I looked into Ben" "And?" "I haven't found anything yet"

If it was important at the time of getting on my case, I feel like suspicion of Ben would have logically already been there at that time otherwise that post should not have really sprung to your head as something that must be read. Seems more like he just got the first substantive looking post he could find and then kept going with it cause backing down would make him look scummy. Also him saying I should have just admitted it was a joke rather than getting up in his face didn't sit right with me either.

That being said I'll hold off for now. You know. In case he's target bomb.

The majority of it is pure banter and can for the most part be skipped. I've replaced into many games and I generally skip day 1 entirely aside from the last 2 hour scramble and maybe a bit before that depending how dense the post count is in the hours before and I've had some very strong replace games. You can generally find the useful element of day 1 there, as people will dredge up and focus on the meaningful posts for you.

One more question when you awake. Unlike hb, you had no specific posts that made you outraged for me to tell red to skip, so I'm curious why you thought it was scummy? Is it telling a player to skip posts on principle? Would it be more or less scummy if I had said that to say, Camarija? How about if say... Sir Chris said it to SultanOfSlam?
