Sting comes out and calls some audibles in the the title tournament. Despite Hogan's "getting the scoops" last week he found Bischoff more entertaining, so he's going to have to fight for his career tonight, taking Jeff Hardy's spot in the tournament! Mickie is injured, so Madison Rayne will replace-- Madison is happy to do it to help legitimize the knockout's division that has been ignored as of late since Sting's reign as boss! (75)

Madison Rayne d. Eric Young to advance. Eric tries to give her the TV title cause she beat him, but she shoos him away (52)

Sting has a social experiment-- Immortal and Fortune are locked in their dressing rooms. The first locker room to beat the hell out of Eric Bischoff or AJ Styles respectively will be in line for the first title shots when the tournament finishes! (70) Beer Money looks at each other, says Fortune is as good as dead already with Kazarian MIA and Daniels turning away, almost immediately beats the hell out of AJ Styles (58) (Beer Money's heel turn is a complete success)

Anderson d. Daffney to advance. He goes easy on her at first, telling her to lay down, but she starts going ballistic on him he eventually has to nail her with a mic check (70)

Sting's not satisfied with Taz's work, and replaces Taz with Eric Bischoff and... Tony Schiavone! Tony says that this is the GREATEST night in the HISTORY of TNA (82) Austin Aries excuses Anderson from a match today, since Daffney obviously wore him out. Anderson insists on a match but Aries waves him off (66) Glacier draws Crimson as they are both counted out, eliminating both. During Glacier's intro Gail Kim is standing in the snow of his entrance, looking very sad. She does the same thing during the match, for no real reason. (68)

A battered Styles gets Brian Kendrick to help him, and Kendrick appeals to Sting's attunement to the Ring of the Void, saying the Tao would dictate they get a tag match with Beer Money-- Sting doesn't know what he's talking about but gives it to em (76) Love and Winter d. Tara and Tessmacher for the Knockouts Tag Titles (53) Winter needs MORE POWER, and challenges Mickie for the Knockouts Title at Turning Point to unify them. The injured Mickie accepts! (52)

Beer Money d. AJ Styles and Brian Kendrick to retain (66)

Hogan's waiting in the ring for Kid Kash. Kid Kash doesn't show up... instead... Jeff Hardy?!?! Hogan is shouting "I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD" as Jeff Hardy squashes him. (70) After the match, Hardy completely dismantles Hogan leaving him a bloody mess, explains how he was a sinner and tells the audience how Jeff Hardy is the lord Jesus Christ and died for the sins of TNA, but it is now his second coming. An awkward silence/mixed reaction follows as Hardy leaves. (72)

Bully Ray says he likes what Devon's done with himself lately, he might just be "getting it." If Devon helps Bully out, he'll help Devon get revenge on that Pope. Devon accepts, stopping at nothing to avenge the bruised knees of his boys! (77)

Joe and Kurt are at ringside -again-. Schiavone asks why Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle continue to show up... Joe takes the mic and says they're here to reunite the MAIN EVENT MAFIA!!! Schiavone is shocked, then Kurt says it was a joke, idiot, and waffles Schiavone as they leave ringside. Snide Bischoff commentary: "Thank goodness, how humiliating would it be for an organization today to recycle ancient ideas like that?" (81)

I just don't really see a reason to hate on Dan. Like even if you find him unfunny I wouldn't say he gets in your face to the point where you want him off your screen-- just not enough screentime or relevance and very weak in plot. He's mostly ignorable, and I'd imagine all the ass kickings he gets would make up for it at least if you don't find him funny.

The announcers are confused, but it all becomes clear when they look at the bracket-- if Devon advances now he'll face The Pope next round (69) Eric Bischoff gives a half assed interview to Ariel about why she's saying Jeff Hardy isn't dead-- she goes on a rant about tarot cards and how the Death card was meant for Ric Flair but Bischoff leaves mid-interview (63)

Gunner says he wants one more match with Sting-- he had him last week! Sting accepts, but only if it's a Bat on a Pole match! Bats are legal! (73) Sting d. Gunner by using the bat he brought to the ring with him instead of bothering with the pole. Gunner whines to the ref but he gets no help. (82)

Ric Flair is talking to Orlando Jordan in the mirror again who is again saying Orlando Jordan is coming from him. The scene changes to a large guy in a witch doctor garb/paint sitting at a table that says "Hernandez, Voodoo SUPERSTAR." He gets up, walks over to a monitor, sees Flair going nuts, strokes his chin and walks off (66) (Hernandez's Witch Doctor gimmick gets 82)

AJ Styles d. Devon to advance after Devon's cheating fails. Devon snaps and beats the crap out of AJ screaming "THAT WAS MY CHANCE FOR REVENGE!" after the match. (58) (D-Von's heel turn was a complete success)

Voodoo Priest Hernandez approaches Flair backstage and says he's a professional, he can ward off spirits. Flair responds with "aren't you that Mexican" and Hernandez shows him some weird ID and said he got voodoo training in Africa last week, holmes. Flair sighs and gives it a shot (72)

Austin Aries d. Matt Morgan to advance (79) After the match Aries gloats and says he's the best superstar in TNA because the X-Division title is the most prestigious title in TNA right now with the world title vacant. Mr. Anderson interrupts him and challenges him to a match next week. (60)

Hogan's talking backstage about how he got a great scoop with Kurt Angle and Joe-- Bischoff tries to sneak attack him with BLACK BELT MARTIAL ARTS while shouting "that interview is mine!" Hogan HULKS UP~ and flattens Bischoff! (64) (Hogan's face turn is a complete success!) Angle and Joe are ringside again. Hogan comes to interview them. Angle explains that he and Joe are entitled to be here being paying customers, and that TNA should be grateful they're even selling tickets without real talent (82)

RVD vs Ric Flair. RVD dominates the match-- Flair gets some offense in and the cross the line caution tape again falls from the rafters, but Voodoo Priest Hernandez at ringside wards it away... maybe...? It lands on RVD in any case! RVD continues to fight covered in tape and beats Flair anyway. Hernandez shrugs as Flair yells at him after the match and says he's not a miracle worker. (88)

-The nWo theme opens up the show! Punk comes out, wearing a black and white feather boa and somehow managing to do so ironically. He's flanked by Nash and Masters, and all three look pretty pleased with themselves. I honestly couldn't tell you since I can't remember any of them. Most of the songs I like are tied to events or specific fights-- stuff that plays for extended periods like in dungeons or towns I have no attachment to is basically the problem. Granted these are usually the weaker parts of an RPG's soundtrack but there are usually a few standout tracks in there at least.

That's my problem with FFVIII's soundtrack actually: Despite having a decent amount of good tracks all the commonly occurring themes are pretty lackluster. I think Force Your Way and Man With The Machine Gun are the only two themes that play more than once or twice that I like

Yeah the last episode isn't even that much worse than the last couple of seasons for me. I'd bail out after three or four seasons. That's about as long as Hercules lasts before it starts getting dumb too, but Xena sinks way lower. Good show otherwise.
