Just beat 300 Difficulty torment with Tidus Rikku Yuna Minwu Gordon. Very fun fight. Was one turn from death, Yuna with the dual cast Leviathan late was clutch. It's convenient Tidus Rikku and Yuna are 3 of my strongest so I was able to do the Cid Missions without changing my party much.

Did the Cid Mission on 200 too. Tidus Rikku Yuna Seymour Auron there.

FFX is probably the only realm I can do this with since I have so much gear there but it's fun while I can. Maybe FF2 I also can but yeah.

I did it with L70 Medusa L65 EMIYA L80 Friend Waver. L60 Liz is probably more useful than both those two combined.

It's a bit time consuming but not particularly dangerous as long as you leave the Nobu goons with Mata Hari in the third wave. Don't be afraid to use Waver's NP on the second wave he recovers it very fast anyway.

Target the boss first to limit the amount of moves they get per turn

This is good advice in the general case, actually. Only time you ever really want to target lackeys is when they have certain annoying moves or they get an NP charged up. It's counter intuitive but killing goons actually increases the damage you take most of the time since the enemy is getting 3 actions regardless in most cases (some bosses only get 2) and it just means the stronger boss gets more.

It's definitely bad.

But it's bad in a way that any martial arts movie fan should actually like. Just a buncha diverse flavorful fighting styles beating each other up with a rockin soundtrack. Just good dumb fun. I legitimately think anyone who can't enjoy Bloodsport is watching 40 movies in a genre they're on average going to dislike.

Yeah I mean, it's not out of character or anything-- it was just like, I dunno, he was supposed to be in trouble or something and the payout wasn't terribly good.

I mean I'm not raging about it. I'm just saying that's only scene in the movie I honestly think would've been better played completely straight. I mostly was just using it as a segue to defend the use of humor at the end and complain about Age of Ultron, which is honestly the only Marvel movie I felt was actually hurt by excessive funny haha stuff.

Saw this late, just today. Great movie, though. Definitely on the top tier of marvel movies for me.

I think the only time the humor didn't work for me (including Asgard getting blown up-- I think it was intended to lighten that up to drive home that the heroes had in fact won in spirit despite Asgard getting destroyed because it's a people not a place yadda yadda) was the very opening scene where Thor is bantering with the demon lord guy. I "get" the complaints, though-- this is actually how I felt about Age of Ultron on a second watch. Like that movie was just... no one was taking it seriously. The heroes were cracking jokes, and Ultron emulating Tony Stark was jabbing right back.

I think Hela being generally hella serious helped it a lot in that regard. Like I don't mind the heroes generally being silly but it's important that the villains are generally playing it straight so it doesn't get excessive.

Hela in general made this movie good I think. Probably the best villain in the MCU aside from Loki and The Winter Soldier-- for the movies they are the villain in, anyway. Really hoping she didn't get wasted by the demon lord dude.

I think someone turned up to 11 is different. And honestly Rikku it's more like turned up to 26 if FFX is 10.

Like half the reason I liked Rikku in FFX was that she wasn't like super over the top peppy girl-- she was generally upbeat but she had plenty of moments of being down to earth too. FFX-2 is like a caricature of FFX Rikku.

If anything I think Yuna's the more natural of the two in terms of her character changes because she has a reason to try and act different to cope or whatever. Rikku just starts flipping out for the hell of it.

Always? No.
Why bother washing my hands after I take a quick piss if I'm just going to be right back to working on this greasy piece of gear, or some other still unsanitary part of the job? There's no point.

Honestly this is true

For me, at least, I voted yes not so much because I find it abhorrent to not wash your hands after taking a piss every once in a while, but rather because I pretty much just do it out of complete habit at this point. Like yeah it's kinda gross not to, but a lot of things people you touch touch are kinda gross, most of the time probably grosser than a dick-- like my dick on average is probably significantly more sanitary than the average person's desk due to showering daily, and I'm not flipping out when someone touches me after they've touched their desk.

So if it was something I was actually thinking about, yeah I would probably skip washing hands after peeing every once in a while when I knew I was immediately gonna be getting my hands dirty again, sure. But I never do because yeah it's just 100% habit.

I still think the percentages are kinda alarming though because if it's not 100% habit to you I feel that's kinda reason for concern in and of itself, but whatever.

On the other hand Aeris and Reina disagree there's much of a connection (the latter I do generally call Lenna but Reina was better)

Oh also Valvalis becoming Barbariccia if we're really diving into the more minor characters.

I mean, a vast majority of people who suspect ulterior motives aren't going to change their minds on any of it, so the only thing making arguments like this is going to do is be yet another caveat. Like, instead of saying "if it's true," it's "It may be true, buuuut..."

Well, here's the thing.

It's very very easy to just discard the story without even having looked into it because of the timing. So if you focus entirely on the timing, you're basically putting the zone of the argument where you're trying to draw someone into even humoring looking into it. So the story is wholly irrelevant, and of course no one is going to be convinced because you're basically arguing against corruption in politics which is way beyond the scope of this one incident.

I think with a case like this that's good to just concede that point, because there seems to be an exceptional amount of corroborating evidence. If focus is put on that, people might actually be convinced to look into it to argue against you, and then might be inclined to believe the story in spite of the timing, when they wouldn't even need to look into it whatsoever with the other approach.

So yeah I think the focus of the argument should be trying to say "hey who cares when it came out-- you can't make all this shit up" rather than trying to fruitlessly give credibility to the timing. Like you're playing from behind by doing that.

It feels more like theorycraft than like, how real life works.

Like, it all reads well on paper, but weighed against "this guy is about to be elected for public office and it's sabotage time" and which one is more likely the driving force, considering the guy has been a public figure for quite some time, and we've had plenty of Me Too moments in the past.

It's an argument you can make and it sounds good enough to convince people who are already on your side, but for people who suspect ulterior motives? It's just not very strong. It's not really how traumatic experiences work in my experience either, just a nice theorycraft way for them to make sense to work.

If someone says "if the sky is blue, then this girl's story is incorrect" would you try to convince them the sky is not blue?

You're not convincing them on A. Frankly, they're probably right on A. The timing is convenient and it's probably not a coincidence.

You should focus on the conditional that makes it imply B.

I disagree.

I think trying to argue a point that is more easily seen as right in their eyes is going to move the chains to their overall side being right, because you're focusing on a part of their argument that is very hard to argue against and frankly that they're probably right about.

Just discarding that as relevant (cause let's be real, motivations really shouldn't matter) and focusing on the other evidence and not making it about the timing I feel is a lot more likely to convince someone.

But if you try to convince me the timing of the story is completely legitimate, I'm going to laugh in your face.

It's less "why not come out immediately" and more "why come out about this not only not immediately, but also at this pivotal moment"

The general skepticism of why the claim came out in particular is often very justified. But it shouldn't be relevant unless you have other reasons to doubt the claims, because I think it's a lot easier to sabotage people with dirty secrets than outright fabrications-- and it being sabotage doesn't change the nature of the dirty secret to begin with.

Money I forgive more just because, why not ask for money. Like I could forgive that as maybe an honest misunderstanding of what she should expect to make outside WWE, or a negotiation blunder.

But creative control arguably doesn't even benefit Emma at all. Like for creative control to matter you need to have some sort of persona or credibility that would be damaged by certain creative decisions. So it means like, Emma actually thinks she has some sort of marketability or credibility to the level where wrestling appearances of any sort can damage it. Which is just kinda hilarious. I mean hell if I saw Emma on a Stardom show I would expect her to lose.

Emma's brand isn't really something that can be damaged any further than WWE already has, where she was booked as a perpetual jobber.

Like I like her, but she has very little value outside of some very basic name recognition and as a decent hand in the ring. There's very little you could do to her creatively to make her less valuable as a commodity.
