It took 4 tries but I beat Dantes without command seals. Haven't been spending all my AP anyway and wanted the challenge. I wanted to pick a supporty servant too so mine could do the work. I brought Semi's Tamamo.

Led with Scathach/Medea/Tamamo. Got as much meter as I could, tag in Medusa. He didn't get his first NP off till turn 10 or so due to chain stunning and NP drains even with him using golden rules (Medusa Gaze, Gandr, Scatchach NP, and Tamamo NP drain) which was pretty funny. Kojirou and Altera pick up the slack later to finish him off.

MGS3 is a bad stealth game so someone who doesn't like them should like it more I think. I always get impatient with it towards the end and start just running through shotgunning everyone because yeah the stealth gameplay is bad in it. Worst in the series really.

All that being said MGS2 is my favorite but I do really like MGS3. It's my second favorite in the series despite having the worst stealth gameplay in the series. Just has a better story and cast of characters than the other games. Even beats MGS2 in this regard overall, (though I like Raiden and the end of MGS2 more than any character or moment in MGS3) but MGS2's gameplay is much much better to me. I prefer Big Boss to Solid Snake too-- he's basically got a lot of the good aspects of Solid, minus most of the things that irk me.

And I'd say reading slowbeef > playing the original metal gear games. They're just not very good, on the NES at least. They're playable but nothing even fans of the series need to experience.

I still have yet to lose more than a single servant on these challenges-- this is partially due to using the tag out master spell but guess my team is pretty good.

Have been starting Dantes too guy is pretty okay-- almost regretted it last night cause the drake almost ate him before getting to the rulers. No draws for him but one of the better 5* I think.

Well, say the women's chamber was identical to the men's, and the first three were Alexa Bayley and Sasha. I'd see Alexa as doing a similar thing whereas while Miz was a bit silly and trying to convince Rollins/Balor to team up with him to beat up the other one, when they refused he still fought em.

That's not to say Alexa is a total coward at all times, or that Miz doesn't have his moments where he is "overly tactical" but she's definitely got a more humble opinion of her skills vs Miz with respect to their divisions and I do feel that they've been pretty consistent about that.

Miz fought everyone in the chamber pretty courageously for most of the match, only running away from Braun when he entered the match

Alexa ran like hell the entire chamber match until she managed to pick off Bayley with a roll-up, only fighting Sasha when she absolutely had to.

This is consistent with their characters, though.

Alexa is out to win by any means necessary, and while she talks a big game, doesn't really think she can beat Asuka or Nia in a straight up match so she'd rather take her chances with picking the bones.

Miz is also in general out to win by any means necessary, however he's delusional and actually thinks he's the best while doing so and that his chances of winning go down in a triple threat.

I've seen Slumdog and Argo. I slightly preferred Slumdog I guess so I voted it but in hindsight I probably should've just abstained since neither one was particularly great and I'm sure there's a movie on the list better than both.

Elias's best segment to date was the one where like 7 women interrupted him in a row and he just walked off, defeated, while Bayley tried to hug him and he blew her off.

I think that segment was like 4 months ago? They tend to be pretty repetitive for the most part, unfortunately-- I've been skipping them lately.

Currently ranked 40 in Celica's army. First time that's ever happened. I didn't spend many feathers last round, had about 800 left and only ranked 5000-10000, and was here for most of the boosts somehow

PROBABLY was smarter to only do one 200 flag in the last hour since I was rank 180 anyway but oh well. Gotta help that cumulative score as best I can I figure and maybe having an extra 100 flags left will let me top 1000 next round anyway. An extra 300 would've been safer but what can you do. I guess doing what I can to ensure Celica holds off Takumi is a factor too.

For reference I have 1490570 points this round. Rank 1 has 1912176. And of course rank 5 has 1665542, covering well over half the difference between my rank and rank 1.

So do we know if Water Blessing is always going to be HP+3 SPD+3 or is it possibly going to be tied to the Hero as well as the Blessing.

Like I'm tempted to use some of these Water Blessings on some people who could use a SPD boost and for the quest but Fjorm is so lame and I'd hate for it to boost a less desirable stat on a different hero.

I feel like if I bothered to play more than a couple of hours of Wind Waker I'd possibly like it the most of the 3D Zelda games. Like the style is cool looking and I like what I've heard of the plot/characterization of Ganon. I'm not fond of puzzles in general in 3D Zelda games and I already find Zelda's combat to have pretty much 0 difficulty so being a little easier doesn't really matter-- I'm not getting game over or really breaking a sweat regardless since my difficulty scale on these types of games is way the hell above Zelda's paygrade.

Newer games have difficulty it's just poorly designed difficulty. Like Lunatic on Awakening is way harder than PoR but it's harder for dumb reasons.

I think Fates/Conquest is actually decent in that regard though. I wouldn't say there's a huge difference in difficulty between that game and PoR and it's not degenerate like Awakening is.

It's not Thracia 776 but neither is PoR.

My main problem with the set is the mythic selection. Imperial Recruiter, Jace, Clique, and Obliterator are exciting, as well as the artifacts. Gisela and Wild Hunt aren't bringing anyone to the yard but they're okay. Animar is good I guess.

Doomsday was previously a fairly low value rare (it has new art at least which helps a bit)
Armageddon was previously a fairly low value rare
Tree was a low value mythic
The two Akromas aren't great, and Fury in particular has been released in so much supplemental content that there's been abundant easy access if you want it
Prossh is not only low value but was in a precon so if you were there and wanted him you easily had him

I realize they can't all be amazing but yeah it's unfortunate. Like I think just replacing the easily obtained low value mythics with middling stuff it would be fine. Also every color having a bomb would be nice-- blue got preferential treatment. Green and White got hosed.

I think everything that isn't the Mythics looks pretty great though.

Would never have drawn for him ever but I guess I can at least level him a bit. Maybe Binding Blade will be upgraded at some point.
