The laggier the match is, the better. Maybe Sonic is better, but only because base Sonic is way better than base DDD. You have to straight-up outskill and outpredict the DDD to win which is the opposite of how playing against him works offline, where you can just react to his bad frame data. --- It's Reyn Time. |

I feel like part of why FFX still carries this reputation is that I can't think of many other JRPGs that go for the same level of ultra-cinematic storytelling that Square-Enix does. And later FF games have...issues.I think the best modern JRPG stories are Nier Automata and Tales of Beseria (off the top of my head), but those also kinda feel like early 2000s games in production values! Berseria moreso than Automata but yeah. Yakuza is a good choice for the one that feels most modern/cinematic. --- It's Reyn Time. |

It was an encounter I spent the entire game preparing for, down the the specific classes I would need to pick for a frankly stupid boss like that to be feasible. That preparation culminated in a war of attrition that had me on my toes for over an hour, basically being a single player raid that had me pulling out all the stops and even inventing weird strategies on the fly. To me, that's the actual final boss of FF12. It's amazing how much potential the main story squandered. --- It's Reyn Time. |

For reference, Final Fantasy Tactics is potentially my favorite OST in the series - I really enjoy the music style that goes with the Ivalice-style games. This also applies to similar games outside the series like Tactics Ogre. Never played the FFXIII sequels but FFXIII's OST was carried by the main battle theme and that one song that plays while traveling with Sazh and Vanille. Everything else was not great. --- It's Reyn Time. |

My second two playthroughs were Vaan solo runs that pushed me to figure out new strategies and use all my available resources. My third playthrough being the Zodiac edition just made it even more fun. The story is pretty bad though. --- It's Reyn Time. |
