I was not prepared for Cortana in this.

No idea why they couldnt get Chiefs real voice actor, why they couldnt keep Cortana blue, and why trailer editors fucking INSIST on somber covers of classic songs.

How do you fuck up Cortana's look? That should be the easiest part. You don't have to make her look photo-realistic. She can even be a little janky! That's fine!

Also was weird that Chief was 'woken up' by the artifact, I don't remember the Spartans being completely brainwashed but then I never read the books and stopped at Halo: Reach, maybe I missed something.

The rest looks okay. (Other than the Prophet looking human. That was a Prophet, right?) I get the need to expand characters and other things around Chief for a television series, though the young one seems annoying already. I'll check it out when it's released.

I want an entire episode dedicated to Chief insisting on getting a warthog through a door that it's obviously not supposed to go through.

I wonder this about every game adaptation. It's a miracle that Tails in the Sonic 2 movie is actually Tails from the games.

Trailer looks solid enough to me. Frankly, I'm so in the pocket for Halo that the series only needs to be vaguely passable to please me.

Basically this. The AI have an iconic appearance for a reason, they chose to be in the uncanny valley and that bums me out.

I'm confused. Hasn't Cortana looked pretty human since Halo 2, and has been getting moreso with each iteration?

I think people are pissed that she's not a naked person and is being played by a 48 year old woman.

I assume it's Jen Taylor since it's her voice, and dubbing over Cortana while not dubbing Steve Downes over Chief is a baffling decision.

It's just confusing because every acting credit comes up "Jen Taylor - Cortana (voice)" for the series and she looks very much like Natascha McElhone.

I mean, that looks like a hologram to me, too. Doesn't really look any different from anything like... Halo 3-4ish on, except a little less blue. Cortana stopped looking like a regular hologram and more like just some little blue chick to me like halfway through the series.
