Also whether or not people admit it, the majority have always cared about graphics. I don't think most would, especially the hardcore crowd who know what good open world graphics can actually look like. SD was a strict hardware limitation that had nothing to do with art style. It's fine if you're not a fan of retro graphics, but that doesn't make them bad. Legend's graphics are bad by any reasonable metrics. Casual don't have many other games to draw comparisons to, so they don't care as much when Pokemon is below the industry standard. Not sure it ever gets ported over, either - the interface used the Wii U tablet extensively and it didn't sell particularly well. As for the Switch, Nintendo's smart play would be to let the Switch ride out this momentum for a few years then release a Switch 2 (that is actually advertised as a Switch 2 instead of whatever they tried with the Wii U) that's backwards compatible. --- It's Reyn Time. |
