Yeah but even the basic boots in league give at least 7-8% boost of speed. Like, I get it, I know movement speed is very important for mobas but I just wonder how often it's actually going to lead to a life or death situation vs something like raw stats or a shield or whatever else. Not saying it's unviable at all, just I definitely see now how it's being overrated.

Basic boots are the single most cost-effective item in all of LoL though

The shield items do seem pretty good, I'll check them out when I can actually upgrade things.

2.5% (or whatever it is at Level 20) increased movement speed is the difference between you catching someone, or escaping from them, or even just being in position to do something a split second before them if you can microspace well. Its not as strong as I would have expected based on its description, but it's still a solid pick.

Source: a person who got really high in League of Legends ranked partially because I stacked movement speed when most others wouldn't.

The video is underrating Float Stone. Raw movement speed increase isn't as important as having higher MS compared to your opponents. It's like an arms race - if you're faster than them, even a little, then you gain a lot of inherent advantages.

The numbers aren't quite as good as I would've hoped, and 'out-of-combat' taking 8 seconds is definitely on the long side, but Movement Speed is still Movement Speed. It's the most important stat in any MOBA.

In the long run, I think the control scheme is what's going to kill the game for me. I actually like a lot of the core mechanics, but nothing can change the fact that autotarget is unreliable at best.

Are critics finally admitting the Ace Attorney series is significant? I just checked Metacritic and it looks like the best the series has done before is an 81. It always felt like critics were arbitrarily limiting their scores due to a lack of 'gameplay' while missing out that it was doing something unique for the medium. This feels less like a declaration that these are the best in the series as much as critics finally getting over this weirdly specific expectation.

If a player disconnects in Ranked it should just nullify the round for everybody else as far as ranking progress goes, or at least for their teammates who are definitely going to lose now. What a great start to my night.

Problem with this is when friends group and start rotating disconnects so that not everyone loses points when a match goes south

It's definitely a big failing of the Moba genre though, and the fact that the games have put virtually no effort into solving it is baffling

The healer whose name I can't remember and Lucario don't seem *that* good to me. I rarely see them be the deciding factor in the match. Cinderace is extremely obnoxious though.

Gengar's flaws are:

1. Awful early game
2. Can't do anything if you miss Toxic Sludge
3. Gets blown up by CC

#1 is mitigated by jungling and certain items. #2 is just a 'git gud' thing - in a game with autoaim, landing skillshots has never been easier. #3 barely counts because everyone in this game gets blown up by CC combos, including tanks.

I feel like all my posts in this topic have been talking about Gengar but it's hard not to when playing him feels like easy mode. From what I've experienced, only Zeroara, Alolan Ninetails, and Garchomp come close.

I checked the reddit and very few people there have recognized that Gengar is broken - it's like 95% complaining about Zeroara and 5% "You guys realize that Hex is crazy, right?"

He might fly under the nerf radar if his playrate continues to be low

FF7 is a weird one in that, from a distance, I appreciate its story and what it was going for and how it changed gaming as a whole, but I was never able to connect to it on a personal level. I think it's good, but I don't actually like it very much.

This is why Remake's plot shenanigans disappointed me so much. I was hoping to get a fresh start on FF7, not FF7's weird pseudo-sequel.

Just got stomped in a Ranked match because one of my randoms instalocked Gengar and then did nothing

...Except we stole Zapdos at the last second and got 300 points in the last minute and won. Balanced!

Gengar with Sludge Bomb + Hex is obscenely strong. Seems like an outright broken Pokemon for anyone with a decent degree of prior MOBA experience.

I think the Garchomp bug has something to do with Zeraora's Wild Charge attack. The bug wasn't happening when I was playing Absol, but when I played a Zeraora game just now, I used Wild Charge on Garchomp and when I came out of it I went from 90%hp to 0 instantly. And in the battle overview, it would say Garchomp's regular attack did all the damage.
