That is incorrect. thicc with 2cs originates from Crip culture. In Crip culture aything that has "ck" is replaced with "cc" because "ck" is Blood code for Crip Killer. I'm in Las Vegas. The fact that I can say that and you immediately picture the place and know at least some of what it has to offer is enough indication of what makes it interesting.

My hometown is notable for being one of the largest safest cities in the U.S., one of the biggest cities in California despite not having worldwide recognition like SF or LA, and attracting a bunch of techies who are gentrifying the city and destroying the local culture! Soon to be home to a massive Google center.

I've gotten much better about it now that I have a water flosser. I try to regularly floss and brush twice a day and I use the water flosser once in the morning (too loud for nighttime use). The water flosser makes it more fun.

Personally I prefer ETFs. You get to invest in a basket of stocks like a mutual fund, but it can be bought and sold like a stock.

SPY invests in the entire S&P 500. It's the very first ETF and the largest.

GLD is the second largest ETF and gives you simple access to the gold market.

DOG is an inverse ETF that bets against the Dow Jones Industrial Average. When the Dow goes down, this ETF goes up. When the Dow wins, this ETF loses.

SQQQ is a leveraged ETF that offers 3x the Nasdaq 100. It's extremely risky, you can make triple the money, or lose triple.

This is all going a bit over my head. I don't know enough about stocks to want to risk a triple money/triple loss situation.

Speaking of which, if anyone has any resources to educate myself I'm a good learner! I understand a lot of economic theory, but I don't know a lot about actual practical investing and saving.

If you don't already have a Roth IRA, open one up and contribute 5k for the 2020 year. Vanguard is easy. You can choose a target retirement date fund or just go with VTSAX for a lower expense ratio. Try to get another $1k in before tax deadline. Then you can automate a $500 contribution every month for set it and forget it.

If you already have a Roth IRA you can still open a brokerage account and so the same thing. Just no retirement/tax benefits.

I fucking loved Bionicles. I still have a massive collection collecting dust somewhere. They were perfect synthesis of all my favorite things at the time: LEGOs, action figures, and a sci-fi/fantasy story told through comics. My introduction to online forums was a Bionicle fansite.

They haven't reached their environmental goals yet. I think the plan is incremental until 2030. They announced it fairly recently. But I know by 2025 all their packaging will be sustainable and by 2030 they have completely reformulated how they synthesize their plastic.

They are durable, hold their hold for a long time, and they have high profile licensing. Plus, they're not an American company outsourcing their labor to developing countries. LEGO's plastic is apparently one the highest quality ones, which is why it was such a big deal when they comitted to moving towards completely environmentally sustainable options.

You have to be willing to be susceptible to it for it to have any noticeable effect. It can't completely rewrite or erase a memory though.

It's really not that bad. I doubt it's good enough to get him anything beyond local recognition, but the music is palatable and inoffensive.

Also, the comments are turned off so we can't troll him anyway.

It's basically a diversified portfolio starter pack. It can have a mix of different stocks, bonds, or both.

I'm finally at a point in life where I've saved a lot of money and I'm no longer living paycheck to paycheck, so I'm trying to get involved with investing. I have enough savings to invest $5k and my research and others have told me mutual funds are good place for beginner investors to start.

Are you invested in a good mutual fund you'd recommend? What are the dividend payouts like?
