Meanwhile, Redo of Healer Episode 6 is delayed at Hidive because Hidive (i.e. Sentai Filmworks, the former ADV Films) is based in Texas and is subject to the lack of basic utility service caused by two inches of snow.

The "CGDCT" genre started at Azumanga Daioh, but one can make a case for K-On! being one of the best-known examples.

And you are not alone: I am not a big fan of the Clannad anime. Having the VN takes the wind out of the anime.

I enjoyed Krull, but I recognize it was really bad. However, I can enjoy it while being okay with its lousiness because it starred Kevin Sorbo who literally just did that with H:TLJ. And it's a fucking shame that Sorbo's career was effectively cut short, first by illness when it was taking off and then allegedly because of his religious views although, honestly, it was really more the illness costing him time when he was his peak relevance.

I think you're talking about Kull the Conqueror here, Zeus, which does star Kevin Sorbo, but has nothing to do with Krull.

The jury in a trial by jury is supposed to be impartial, and that was never going to be the case here. Disappointing, but not unexpected, though the willingness of the Republicans to be openly partial in the public eye says a lot about how that party has deteriorated.

Still watching Redo of Healer, trying to gradually add other shows to my gallery, but it is slow going.

Said I was not going to get back into Legend of Legacy, but I have already started a New Game + as Eloise. Much, much easier this time through, thanks to money carrying over and certain gear being made available from the get-go.

Tons of posts to unpack here. Going to have to go point by point.

-- I have been planning to watch Wanda Vision, but I have not been able to get to it as of yet, and I decided I might as well hold off until all the episodes are available.

-- I enjoyed Cornette on commentary on NWA Powerrr (until he made a gaffe that cost him that job), and I appreciate the type of wrestling he advocates (again, NWA Powerrr), but I find his loathing of all things AEW to be ... bizarre, almost as if those opinions come from a different person.

-- Krull is one of my favorite movies, and that is saying a fair bit when you consider that I love almost all of those cheesy old '80s fantasy films, though I have to take a few of them in MST3K or Rifftrax format (e.g. Deathstalker). And yes, I had a homemade Glaive, too, but mine started its life as a styrofoam plate. Good times.

-- Silly trivium: Krull and Ice Pirates have the same writer (Stanford Sherman). No wonder I love both movies. Have them both in my background DVD repertoire to this day.

-- I enjoyed Willow the movie, though not as much as Willow the NES game. The Shadow Moon trilogy of books is ... not very good, IMO. As PO noted, Claremont really is a comic book writer, not a novelist, jokes about his dialogue aside.

-- +1 for mentioning the Books of Swords, PO. Those are high on a list of '80s fantasy literature that is fading into obscurity.

-- As I may have noted previously, I like FF7R, and I beat it in record time after getting it (two weeks), but the last chapter is 100% Nomura (i.e. 100% bullshit). Will have to see where Square Enix chooses to go from there, but I have very little faith in their ability to be original and surprising.

As far as JRPGs go, I beat Legend of Legacy (3DS) as Garnet. 43 hours, spread across nine months because I put the game down more than once due to frustration. The game is a genuine Sa Ga tribute ... in that it has poor balance, mechanics that are never explained, and difficulty that waffles between easy enough to be boring and randomly snuffing your entire party in a single round. I liked the ending, but getting there was a pain in the ass. ... If I revisit it in the future, it will be as a different character with New Game + benefits.

Going to respectfully disagree on that, Zeus. AEW has been so much fun (IMO) to watch that it got both my wife and myself back into wrestling for good. That being said, no wrestling is botch-free, and AEW is no exception.

I follow one You Tube person who normally does vids for the Danmachi and Re: Zero games, and he said the Priconne community was too toxic for him to enjoy making any content for it. That is all I know of the game.

I have fond memories of Episode 40 of Gundam Seed Destiny for this reason. The fansubbers got sick of it at that point and did joke subs for that episode before handing the series to a different group. (That is one series for which I never paid a red cent, piece of shit that it is.)
