Still have my original box, though I need to put the cardboard furniture back inside it. (I used to use those for D&D when miniatures were less annoying to me.) I thought HQ had become a standard pencil-and-paper game, though? Glorantha, IIRC?

(Related: Good to see the Avalon Hill brand again, though I never did figure out the right way to play Dragonhunt. Those devs were always good at really crunchy board games.)

I have the same issue, Judg. I suck at 3-D platformers, but, if you put me in front of old school Castlevania or Mega Man (or Metroid), I'm fine.

The 3DS had a good run, and I am sad to see its time end, but I have so many games left to play on it that it still has a long life left in my home. Then again, I can say that about most of my consoles. I honestly have very little need of anything new, barring new titles for my Switch. Otherwise, going to enjoy my existing collection for as long as it continues to function.

Looks like the bug bit me, too. Got Switch Online and jumped right back into Super Metroid. Unfortunately, I do not remember as much of it as I thought I did; still easy to get lost in Maridia. Not getting optimum time on this one, but I can always play it again. And I will. Love this game.

The Jets got destroyed, too, but there is no shame in losing to the upgraded Buffalo Bills, IMO. They made the playoffs for a reason.

Very little free time on hand the past few days, but I have been using that to tinker with some older electronics and try to eliminate my need for batteries where I can. That, and I finally broke down and paid for a bit of Switch Online time because the need for Super Metroid became too strong.

Super Metroid contains a brief synopsis of the original game and Return of Samus, so it is not a bad starting point. If you can play Zero Mission first, though, do that.

This is me. I can tolerate FFXII, at least in the Zodiac Age release, but there are lots of things I have to swallow (e.g. the fact that Vaan exists) to play that game.

I love FFVIII, but I accept that it is a very divisive game.

I have been lucky enough to not be doxxed. I've been on the Internet way too long to be careless with my info. Unfortunately, that doesn't prevent me from being anonymously dragged and libeled by those clowns, nor does it prevent me from being banned from communities, losing online friends due to them being pressured not to associate with me, etc. "Trial by social media" is a thing, and you're guilty until proven innocent in that court -- except that no proof is acceptable, so you're just flat-out guilty with no recourse, even if it's all shit they made up.

So, yeah, the SJWs are real. It's one reason I actually keep hanging out here on Game FAQs, despite all its faults and rampant stupidity: Social Justice has no real power here.

I can get behind this. Had a late start at the Souls series, but I thoroughly enjoy Dark Souls Remastered, so I am more than happy to give a Demon's Soul remake a go.

The Social Justice extremists are strongest in the regions of fandom where they can get their hands on the levers and pulleys. I've mentioned it in a different topic, but I've had to completely change my approach to writing fanfic -- I quit doing it for a while, and then came back under a different pseudonym -- because that's one part of the Internet where you can be doxxed, dragged, and ruined in real life for having a contrary opinion. It's one thing to lobby creators and showrunners to do things differently. It's something else entirely to exert a Stalinist hold over the fan community. SJWs are annoying in the big picture, but, in my realm of geekery in particular, they're actually dangerous.

As for Castlevania, I am a big fan of the show. Season 1 is good, Season 2 is great, and Season 3 is ... divisive, but I thought it was great, too. Season 4 should be a winner, too, but I doubt the show will continue after that, since Warren Ellis got me-too'd and let go by Netflix.

I will give one thing to wrestling fandom: I was able to pick up the Jazwares release of Kenny Omega for $19.87 U.S. (before taxes).

And my physical books are, at this point, all boxed up (in organized fashion) in my garage, as there is very little room for them in the apartment. Thus, my garage has long since become my reading room.

And, in dork news: Been learning a thing or two about replacing lithium-ion batteries in order to give my GBAs and my original DS a new lease on life. The PSP, unfortunately, is going to be tethered to a wall forever.

For a point of reference, Wolverine beat Lobo in the Marvel VS. DC series that produced the Amalgam universe back in the '90s.

If there is another Tron sequel, hook that directly to my veins, please and thank you.

I have yet to see the Birds of Prey movie (because I enjoyed the original Suicide Squad, and so decided to give the reboot / sequel a little space because I apparently have bad taste), but the positive buzz is encouraging.

A comment from PO above piqued my curiosity, so I looked it up, and ... yes, there are Marvel superheroes called Snowflake and Safespace in a New Warriors team that has subsequently been panned. *shakes head* I mean, Marvel has introduced young heroes before (e.g. New X-Men: Academy X and Avengers: The Initiative), but they tend to never back them up, and end up killing them off (e.g. New X-Men: Childhood's End and Avengers Arena). Would not surprise me to see the same thing happen to this lot.

Adventure of Link is still my favorite in that series, and I have loved Metroid since the original. I skipped Federation Force, though.

I am surprised that there is already a Street Fighter VI in the offing, considering that Capcom still seems to be doing things for SF5, but I should not be surprised at this point. *shrugs* I enjoyed SF4 (... and its derivatives, especially Super SF4), but not to the same level as its predecessors, and SF3 remains the most fine-tuned sub-series of the lot, IMO.

And I thought the X-Men Legends games -- followed by Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 -- were really good. Surprised that it took so long for a MUA3, and double surprised that XML stopped at 2.

In short: Because Macau has a different history. Portugal took a very hands-off approach to it as a colony, leaving it to develop with only a minimum of supervision, as well as a much less integral role to its imperial economy, unlike Hong Kong.
