I see your point, but then how is a site like Facebook supposed to determine that content posted on their service was copied from a news outlet? And which news outlet?
I guess it's technically possible by automatically scraping news outlets and comparing them to posts made. It's a huge task for Facebook to set something like that up, but ultimately not more difficult than the sort of content matching Youtube does for copyrighted music.

I see the intent of the law but it seems really ill conceived.
Yeah agreed

But isn't it free advertising when you share a link to a news article and then five of your friends click on it to read more?

I feel like this is just going to hurt the media companies moreso than generate additional revenue for them lmao

If it's just a title with a link, yes. If it's sharing the full article not so much.

Take this thread for example. I read the article without having to visit the CNBC site, so Gamefaqs is the one who made money off this content created by CNBC, while they get nothing.

The article speaks of "those with the most severe frailty" and "the very old and terminally ill". For these people even the mildest flu-like side effects can be dangerous, this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Also in the article:
The recommendation does not mean younger, healthier people should avoid being vaccinated.

TC sure has a history of rephrasing vaccine news articles to make them seem worse.

Tommy's right. Put more effort cuz they didn't anything but pose then charge at the army.
Now compare it to the 'assemble' scene:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP2w_UAK6B4

Thanos and his army just stand there watching, for two minutes and 50 seconds (by comparison, the girl power scene was 15 seconds), while the heroes take their time to pop up, strike a pose one by one and look cool.

It's very cheesy. It absolutely is fanservice. The entire scene makes no sense if this was an actual battle.

People loved it though, it got the entire theater cheering. That's what the movie was going for and it succeeded.

Exactly this. Expecting complex software to be completely bug-free is unrealistic so it's nice that devs have the opportunity to fix things after release (even though they have no legal obligation to do so).
At the same time both gamers and game related media should be more critical of publishers who release unfinished products and just outsource the beta testing to their actual costumers.
