Viridi's cool, but she doesn't really do anything. Magnus would fit in perfectly.

Magnus would be lame as hell considering the rest of Kid Icarus's cast. He's just a generic swordsman.

Also, Dark Pit could work because of all the weapons in Uprising. Leave Pit with the Bow, give Dark Pit a club or a cannon or even the ability to switch weapons. Boom, completely different moveset.

Is Kid Icarus really that popular in Japan?

It's a very recent game that also happens to be really awesome, so probably.

If Sakurai is doing SSB4 too then I fully expect to see 3-4 Kid Icarus reps with even more as Assist Trophies or in background stages or whatever. Also the playable characters will be the best in the game, obviously.

To be honest though, my first thought when seeing the book was that Gazmee/the kids were manipulating them into "creating" Lord English not as a result of any of Scratch's plans, but because it's something they have to do anyways due to causality and whatnot.

Kind of like how Vriska gave Bec's powers to Jack because she wanted to be the one to both create and kill their greatest enemy (though it turned out it wasn't just Vriska who was responsible for that). The kids want to stop Lord English, but first, they have to make sure he exists. But it could go either way. I'm not sure if Scratch would trust the most volatile troll to do his work, but who knows, maybe it does tie in with his crazy religion!

It might not amount to anything at all. We've known Scratch was in contact with Aradia since the end of Hivebent and we never figured out specifically what he was doing there, either. Until it comes up in story I personally am just going to dismiss it as Scratch's generic machination bulls***.

He was also talking to Kanaya, that didn't turn out to be relevant either.

Of course, Gamzee is the only male character he's spoken to (besides Karkat, briefly), so maybe there's something to that? But I wouldn't bet on it.

Silver and Blue have good designs, Barry's is acceptable but not particularly good. The only reason I'm fine with his and not this guy's is because B2W2's guy is trying to be SO COOL and just looks stupid to me.

Well, way back in Act 5, Bec getting prototyped and Jack inheriting his power was a twist that a lot of people called because it was pretty obvious. I think Hussie said something to the effect of sometimes the most surprising twist is doing exactly what people expect you to.

And I mean, he's obviously very aware of what all the fans are thinking about the plot right now. So they could be red herrings, but uu being Lord English makes a lot of sense. If it was a mislead, the actual twist would have to be pretty similar.

But the same bodies theory seems up in the air imo.

Some Pokemon you can find before the 2nd gym: Pidove, Magby/Elekid (depending on the game version), Growlithe, Audino, Magnemite and Koffing. Not too bad I guess, but Magby/Elekid are annoying to evolve both times and Pidove is awful unless it gets changes.

Oh s*** Magnemite. But I already used MAGNEZONE in Platinum.

Maybe I'll pick up Elekid if there's a way to get him to Electivire pre-E4.

Yeah I guess that sums it up.

I played through maybe half of the main story (so not even 1/4 of the total game, ha) and it just seemed....boring. The mechanics were either bland or straight up bad (card fusion, that awful grid system, demon negotiation), the difficulty swung wildly back and forth (of course I was somehow able to get a Megido spell that nukes the entire enemy party for massive damage incredibly early on), and the dungeon design was confusing.

It's just...not that great.

The music is pretty good though, at least in the PSP version.

Definitely read all of a series all at once, that's what I do. I guess for the Batman series that could be a problem because of the Night of the Owls crossover but the rest it should help.

I've decided that today I'm going to get caught up on comics too. I don't think I have quite that much but I have about 4-5 issues each of a few series and the entirety of Red Hood, GLC, and Batman & Robin to read. let's do it

I forgot that the new session's kings are dead. Which more accurately explains the king/queen switching thing since the WQ has the scepter, but I mean that was obvious once you realize that uu was representing Prospit and not Derse there. But anyways:

So basically, both the kids and The Condesce want to make a new universe, although the Condesce is pretending to oppose them. From what we know now, that could be because that universe is the cherubs', thus allowing Lord English to exist. of course, it could also be something as simple as "The Condesce wants more planets/a universe to invade", but that's more boring

Not really any new information, but evidence pile, taller, etc. Not even Hussie's japes can stop the theories.

Gamzee continues to be the most important character in Homestuck.

Also the censorship implies that the original kids + trolls - or at the very least, Gamzee - meant for UU and uu to have to book, making them complicit in what could be the creation of Lord English. That would be huge.

When I think "story arc" I think "segment of events within a larger coherent narrative." So for examples, "Blackest Night" in Green Lantern, "R.I.P" in Morrison's Batman, or "Cell Saga" in DBZ.

TDKR and Watchmen are a lot more similar than you think, since they are both standalone stories that don't require much or any knowledge of the characters or setting outside of that one book. So they don't really fit that definition IMO.

Also, no, there are plenty of comics better than it, although it is a great read.
