Whole cake does have good moments, worst part is big mom imo. Even in her backstory she's the least interesting one.

I have to remind myself how it good it was at times because the first thing that comes to mind is Big Mom chasing cake...which went on for nearly 50 episodes/chapters.

I still haven't gotten caught up on Wano despite being near the end. I watch the dub, and the new ones aren't on the Funimation app yet (despite being on Crunchyroll).

I just started the movies because I'm jonesing for the dub to get caught up.

I started with Strong World, and liked it. I watched Z yesterday, and liked it too, but it reminded me of this topic because Sanji is the most problematic as he could possibly be...

Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation just dropped on Netflix, and I highly recommend you watch it.

It's an adaptation of a one shot manga that Oda did in 1994.

Also, Whole Cake Island was the most I watched OP in single sittings. Once I got to the end of Zou, it clicked in my head of just how close I was to being caught up, and I ended up watching about 60 episodes in one weekend.

I tend to forget how dark Whole Cake got sometimes because of it being juxtaposed with the most colorful and cheery aesthetic of any arc.

Finally wrapping up Dressrosa. Really good arc, probably my favorite post-time skip. Doflamingo was a crazy villain, and I guess at this point by far Luffys biggest takedown. Hes taken on his fair share of warlords at this point, but Doflamingo had the biggest world wide impact, crippling the worlds weapons black market.

Starting to finally feel that pacing fatigue tho. I could tolerate it before, but oh man. These flashbacks to things that already happened just in the current arc are getting rough. Like, Jesus Christ show, you dont have to do a flashback to something that happened last fucking episode. I know Im usually high when Im watching it, but even my memory isnt that bad.

Yeah, it's a top 5 arc for me, but the pacing really takes hold with each newer arc. I think I mentioned this earlier, but Dressrosa is apparently lower tier for most people who watched/read it week-to-week, and I can see why. It has a bunch of fake out endings, whereas binging it, you have an idea of how long it's going to be to prepare.

He made a recent video saying DKC2 is his favorite game ever due to sentimental reasons due to his mom, and he wouldn't do a Completionist review until it was his final video.

I didn't think he would do the video back then, and I definitely don't think that's happening now.

The Completionist always struck me as like, stuck in 2011. The presentation really reminds me of that early-ish video content that felt like it was trying too hard to be like Television.

He was a good fit for the G4 reboot, for better or worse.

Yeah, we're not getting a statement or apology video for something like this. When there are potential charges being filed - especially for fraud or embezzlement - lawyers are going to tell you to keep as quiet possible.

Halfway through Thriller Bark and yeah Sanji just continuously manages to be the worst protagonist. His dream of getting the invisibility devil fruit so to peep on naked women? Come on, dude. First of all, your dream is the All Blue.

If they removed the entirety of his simp/pervert gag, he'd skyrocket to one of the coolest characters, but this schtick drags him down and makes him insufferable.

He may have been second to last for me until a much later arc, which actually made him pretty awesome. But the simping doesn't really go away, and it gets worse before he gets better.

everyone was talking about OoT, not many knew about Final Fantasy 7.

I had already played FF7, and when OoT launched, it just fell flat to me. I was fully blown into RPGs, and OoT just felt bland by comparison.

And on top of that, the 2D RPGs like SO2 and Grandia would often upstage some of the 3D PS1 RPGs. Hell, IGN straight up said Grandia was better than FF7, and I never thought they were wrong.

Yeah, it's a classic and the remake is getting glowing praise that lives up to it.

I went there 2 years ago and it was basically 8 hours of standing in line to buy stuff I didnt really want and could get online for cheaper, standing in line to play kinda sorta okay indie games and a bunch of nerds playing board games.

My local con was basically like this. I've been somewhat interested in PAX, but I know since I don't have a decent group of friends to go with, it wouldn't be fun.
