With how the average human is, no matter what you do, you can only make things worse. Legally it makes sense to listen to the lawyer. Morally all it'll do is piss people off and think you are being even more scummy.

Nah, the key around this kind of thing is wait for the initial twitter trend and shit to blow over. Let's be real, how many people read this thread here or on other social media and barely know, or do not know at all, who the Completionist is? But then continued on because drama is juicy. Well the real drama bugs online are like sharks looking for blood and signs of life to feed on. It is only a losing game to engage while they're around. So you play dead, they lose interest, and then you come out with your own statement. By then it's been long enough that the anger and shock in your own community has lessened and they might at least listen to what you have to say.

Yeah, all he has to do is let the drama blow over and either prove the money is still in the account or donate it as intended.

I'd say the only way this totally blows up more is if the money is actually gone, and he's fully complicit in it. I'd say best case scenario is just gross incompetence. The next best scenario is that one or both of the family members embezzled some or all of it, and he's just been stupidly holding off on doing anything because he's trapped in a situation where he'll need to make them face consequences. Worst case scenario is that he personally was involved and there's no way out for him.

I wonder if Jirard is reading this topic. I hope he uses my ChatGPT apologies.

Mother got dementia and died
He started a charity to raise money for dementia research
Over a decade he's raised more than $655,000
Has repeatedly stated multiple organizations the money is going to
Turns out the money hasn't been spent anywhere and has been sitting in the charities account the entire time
When the charity was asked why they did this, their response was "It's not illegal"
When Jhirard Khalil was asked, he said he only found out last year and the charity wasn't happy with the organizations they claimed to donate the money too.

But the money is still sitting there in the account and Jhirard continued to say it's going to organizations that it isn't in fundraisers in 2023 after he claims he already knew it wasn't.

Nobody really knows WTF is going on

To be fair, Jobst apologized for some of the problematic statements he made, such as defending Whitegoose (the actual person who was involved with the Nazi nonsense) out of misplaced friendship, as well defending the Kendrick Lamar N-word incident.
