I got them, along with a ps1 for Xmas one year. I honestly was more invested in SO2, I liked everything about it more.

Star Ocean 2 is a great game, though. Final Fantasy 7 is one of my top games of all time, partially due to nostalgia, but I wouldn't think it's weird to prefer Star Ocean 2 over it.

I wouldn't blame anybody preferring SO2, it was a 10/10 even before the incredible remake

everyone was talking about OoT, not many knew about Final Fantasy 7.I had already played FF7, and when OoT launched, it just fell flat to me. I was fully blown into RPGs, and OoT just felt bland by comparison. And on top of that, the 2D RPGs like SO2 and Grandia would often upstage some of the 3D PS1 RPGs. Hell, IGN straight up said Grandia was better than FF7, and I never thought they were wrong. --- ...I think I'm done here... ... Copied to Clipboard!
