guy quit his job, cashed out his pension (including paying the penalty for early withdraw), spent all of that money over the next ~3 years by sitting around in his apartment drinking. eventually got evicted and moved back in with his mother at age 36. to my knowledge he is still unemployed, living with his mother and spending his days drunk off cheap beer.

i had problems with him at first, too. learn the skill that gives you additional heavy hits at the end of the combo. you'll just tear through everything. and almost always charge the heavy all the way.

i didn't like the hostess mini-game either. i didn't do it at all and had no problems completing the game.

you don't have to take a "family plan" for insurance, especially if both people have individual plans through employment

don't necessarily need a much larger house / living area. i'd be in the same 1500 sq ft home whether i had a roommate or not

having "double the friends" is not guaranteed -- many couples have overlapping friend circles. and i dont know where this "you must buy stuff for your friends" notion comes from, but my friends do not cost me money.

you can absolutely avoid spending on "expensive holidays" by just communicating and talking to your partner.

i can just imagine Bezos sending the full force of his billions of dollars per year legal team at anyone who does this because that's just the kinda guy he is
