If you haven't already, I recommend playing Metal Gear Rising. Its not as bat shit insane as 2 and 4, buts its an interesting story after the events of 4 and and has great gameplay if you like the genre.

My computer fans kicked in at their highest speed as I typed that last part out. I don't think even cold, hard technology can comprehend Ocelot.

Can someone tell me why Snake doesn't have the stealth camouflage?

It's SUPER lame that there aren't any guards around. It would do Shadow Moses as much justice as possible, in my opinion.

The idea that a Gekko walked into an elevator, hit the first floor button, and patiently waited is pretty amusing, not gonna lie.

On another note, I just realized that MGS1 stopped being good (gameplay-wise) after Psycho Mantis.

IIRC, one of the issues is that the AI actually does control everything. The Patriots are so entrenched that the AI controls infrastructure on a massive scale. Simply knocking out that control would be catastrophic.

They never knew Vamp survived. Last thing they see of him is Raiden shooting him right in the head and him falling into the water.

Also idk if it shows in whatever you're watching, but in both that area and the previous one, if you help the guys losing the war out they'll all fight alongside you. Right after the cutscene with Octopus and Vamp, you can sneak down and take out all the guards to free the prisoners. They'll all get guns and it'll help you out.

I mean, true, but still.

So the Otacon ending is canon?

Neither are technically since they both live. Not only does Snake have infinite ammo from Meryl's ending, but at the start of 2 he has the optic camo from Otacon's ending. They basically just took parts of both endings and went with them. I'd say Meryl's is more canon since Otacon doesn't necessarily die in that loe, it's just implied that he might when the bomb the base or whatever.

Kinda dumb, but I guess it makes sense.
