Last official news update looks like feb of last year. Wouldn't be surprised if servers went down this year. ^ Sorta called it. They're keeping the servers up, but they're canceling the massive redesign they were working on. It'll be supported for the time being in its current state but this effectively kills the game. Those who escape incarceration often have to deal with the disruption, malignment, and vilification associated with people accused of such heinous crimes. They lose work, are alienated by friends and family, some end up on sex offender registries and can have that hanging over them for months until their records are cleared up, and even when they are exonerated there are news articles and websites containing falsehoods that are out there forever for anyone doing a Google search of their name to find. Not to take away from the damage these false accusations do to people making legitimate accusations, making it harder for them to have to prove their cases and perhaps causing some to be hesitant to come forward for fear of not being believed. Not all of these false accusations involve fabrication of evidence. He's for whatever and whoever can get him into power, and he's found a path to the White House through exploiting certain ideologies in people drawn to the right wing. Not pro-Republican so much as they are anti-Democrat. Trumpism is developing into its own brand of hard-right, anti-Democrat "Republican"ism, and this development is dividing the party. imho they would be best served not to shun Trump, but to tread a tightrope distancing themselves from Trump while at the same time adopting some of the "America First" policy points and language in order to court Trump supporters. Most of his supporters willvote Republican no matter who runs. That said, Trump is masterful in drawing support through rallies and fundraising efforts etc. He's got charisma, he's got the gift of gab. He embodies so much of what his supporters admire and want in a leader. He "owns the Libs" yada yada. The Republican party is going to have a hard time finding someone who could replace him, but again imho I think they'd be better served finding someone who can court those Trump supporters as well as someone who can make up ground with the moderates. No easy task. This last point I believe is crucial to the long-term success of the Republican party. As much as Trump is good for Republicans, in giving them a figure to rally around, he alienates some of the moderate voters, enough to endanger Republican opportunities around the country, and in key states needed to win large elections. So for the short-term, Trump is good to a point, but bad to the overall health and future of the GOP. There's a similar (not identical mind you) division simmering on the Democratic side among moderates and the more polarizing progressive end of the party. I don't think it's as dire as the issues with the GOP, but Democrats need to be mindful of who they put forward in the larger races, or they risk alienating moderates and stoking the Trump-aligned base to rally against them.
