That argument would make more sense for someone like dagger, but with vivi you basically have literally nothing else to use it on. MP for blk magic is his entire deal. Besides, if you put more damage out that reduces the amount of damage that your party will be taking due to killing the thing faster. Every bit helps. I would rather leave vivi on standby too than defend because at least then he's available for emergency potion/down duties

Yeah I don't...really understand the question. There is undoubtedly a big jump between the tier 1>2>3 spells but just cast until you tier up. It doesn't mean the tier 1s are useless. For dagger I would just leave her on standby until someone needs healing, it sucks to get in a bind where you just defended and them someone immediately takes a big attack.

This new CBA has tons of good stuff:
2nd rd exceptions that work the same way as 1st rds
Positionless All-NBA awards (with the 65 game minimum)
You have more restrictions if you pass a 2nd tax apron (can't trade 7-year-away 1sts, can't send cash, can't use mid-level exception)
Teams can have more than 2 designated players (which is huge for the cavs as Evan Mobley will soon join garland and mitchell)
Teams can get draft prospect physicals before the draft if those prospects are attending the combine

It's not even about his shoulder specifically, just his style of play is not sustainable. He's 34. He's never been super accurate, relying on his athleticism mostly. When that diminishes, players like him suffer more dramatic falls than most.

It's more that they are hyped for any QB who isn't crap. Lots of people think the jets really are a qb away so...rodgers isn't what he used to be but he can still play some.

I do, but it's more a factor of human's bodies are just more capable physically than they were during jordan's era. I think they're still really close but I think lebron is a slightly more well-rounded player.

Yeah this is what I was kind of going for. People scoffed (and still do) at cousins deal but I just would have expected more foresight from an nfl team, esp one as seemingly well run as the ravens. What seems outlandish for daniel jones might be totally bargain-worthy in another 5 years and if he's good then the giants look like geniuses. And I would much rather take that gamble on a guy like lamar than on jones.

Like would you rather have cousins at 28M a year or jones at 40M a year? I would take cousins. And the ravens, even if they're worried about health, are basically presented the same scenario and are going "no." You just don't do that. You have guys like burrow and herbert who are going to get monster deals next year probably, and the ravens had a chance to jump under that and now they've flubbed that. Now if they want lamar they're paying even more than if they had just bit the bullet and overpaid "some."

The bottom line is, if you want a franchise qb, you must overpay. Whether drafted or signed via FA, it doesn't matter. QBs will be overpaid. You aren't being smart by refusing that, you're fighting a money battle that's impossible to win. No one is bidding for lamar "now" but they absolutely will be once the 2 1sts requirement is lifted. If Lamar wants a fully guaranteed deal, he will get it somewhere. You might as well make sure it's you.

I don't really get the collusion angle. There's a cap, owners only have to worry about spending so much as it is. If a contract isn't fully guaranteed, they're just using that money to go elsewhere instead. The money is going somewhere regardless.

Also, wasn't cousins' deal fully guaranteed? Watson isn't even the first time it's happened, if it was gonna become a trend then it would've started en masse after cousins.

Jones was really good last year, I think he's still shaking off the early-career bust talk that he had around him. If he has another year like last year next season, I think it's reasonable. I mean, as much as can be. He's not worth 40M, but hardly anyone is. Sometimes if you have a guy that's even just good you have to keep him or else it's back to the gutter. Look at where the commanders have been ever since they elected not to sign cousins.
