I had a nightmare about the stomping grounds once and have since been too scared to go back. Even sadder is that I had that dream years after playing BT and getting everything (except for a certain infamous item) so it's not like I don't know how to solve it.

I saw the movie yesterday with a friend who had never read the books (said she was planning on it after watching the movie)

I think the best part was when Clove threw the knife at Katniss and my friend turns to me and whispers "Thanks for the knife, b****" and then I turn back and whisper "That's exactly what Katniss thought in the book, minus the b**** part, but I'm sure she would have said it if it weren't a YA book."

I thought the movie was pretty good overall. For all the things they changed/left out, they added some interesting bits. I loved seeing Seneca Crane and the Gamemakers in action.

Well, I've seen worse.

I've always had an odd love for Tropius. They just look so awesome. Of course their actual usefulness is... ehh.

Many of my Nuzlocks get ruined by Norman. His second Slakoth usually wipes out my entire team. Even when I think I'm at a high enough level, I usually end up losing someone.

The gimpy kid was from District 10, right? That one's either Grain of Livestock (with District 9 being the other). I imagine those two districts are in or around the midwest.

One of the districts is Lumber, which I imagine is probably Canada. >_>

There aren't any 'official' maps of Panem are there? I've tried figuring out where some districts would be located, but some I don't know.

They're marked on your compass/map, if that's what you're doing wrong.

Also, Xander root is on the ground so if you're circling the tree stump near the schoolyard, stop trying to look on/in the stump and look at the ground below it.

When I played through the game, I went with whatever choice left Loomin destroyed for good. I didn't realize until much later you could actually save it.

I have a light headache right now and I was wondering just a moment ago what brought it on.

I think your current area involves a dungeon that you can't re-enter once you beat so make sure to get all your mini medals on the first run. It's also a fairly difficult dungeon so be prepared.

Edit: I said 'next' area but I believe it's the area you're in now actually.

If not the single-most, then at least one of the top. Atmosphere is an important quality to me in games. That's a good portion of why MM is my favorite Zelda.

I think part of the reason I had fun with DQVII was because I was always curious about what the next world would be like. It was a kind of wonder and curiosity that made me feel like a kid again.

I'm probably the only person in the world who's beaten all the main series DQs and has VII as a favorite.

Yeah, it's long and has lots of grinding, but that didn't bother me. I liked the adventure.

I don't see porcupines often but one got into our backyard somehow. One of my dogs got overly curious about a porcupine once and got quills around her muzzle. She was very good about letting us get it out at least and the porcupine was fine as well.

Not as terrifying imo, but an interesting deep-sea fish, the barreleye. Those green things inside its transparent head are its eyes.

Another good test for a trypophobic is to watch a video of either a suriname toad giving birth or removing a botfly larva from human skin (both of which can be found on Youtube)

I would recommend Yo and Ryokles do not look those up unless you want to be creeped out. :P

I'm just a lurker. I've lurked various boards in my time on GameFAQs. Though I've started posting more often as of late. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be a regular.

But when I first joined this site, I spent a lot of my time on the SNES FFIII board. That and the FFT board were my main haunts.

Also, good list. FFVI has one of my favorite casts of any game. Yeah, there are some guys near the bottom that I don't care about, but the sheer number of characters I DO like cancel out those that I don't.

I was pretty obsessed with FFVI in my younger days and I talked to EVERYONE and went EVERYWHERE. Somewhere was an NPC that mentioned a triangle island and a strange monster. I don't remember if that NPC mentioned having to get sucked up by it, but the point is the NPC brought the monster to my attention. That means it must have been important. Their sucking skill was a curiosity to me so I saved my game and decided to see if getting the whole party sucked in would result in a game over.

The tutorial is boring, yes, but the game knows it and even makes fun of it. There's a skill called Mimic Daravon (or whatever his name was... the tutorial teacher) that puts enemies to sleep.

I also want to stress again what that big post said about saving to another slot when the game prompts you to. I was a victim of only keeping one save file and I was f***ed during a certain infamous sequence of battles. I had to restart the entire game after that.

IMO, Chrono Trigger. I love RPGs from all eras, but... I never understood the blind love for that game. I like Chrono Cross, though it's not perfect either.

Hope you enjoy the game. FFVI was my favorite game for a long, long time. Still one of my favorites. I don't know if that's nostalgia or what though. Some old NES and SNES games I love blindly and I know it's nostalgia.

That song makes me so nostalgic. FFVI was my favorite game for a long time and its soundtrack was one of my favorites. There are very few songs on it that I can say I disliked or even though were mediocre.

I've always felt CT was horribly overrated. Not bad, but not amazing. It's not that I hate 2D RPGs either. I love a lot of other SNES games.
