We needed a low point. An astoundingly low point. Getting smashed 2-4 against Algeria in the last WC and fielding a dumbass treasonous striker with no shot attempts whatsoever for the whole tournament didn't do it, we really needed an all-loss performance. Sweden just didn't want to beat us, yet we gave them a penalty to lose anyway. Mexico smashed us to pieces. Great. All we needed was last tournament's champions to knock our teeth down our throats and complete the humiliation. Instead they let us end this atrocity with an undeserved high. Damn you, German national team. Guess now I have to hope Korea never even makes it to the World Cup four years from now. Uzbekistan, Syria, China, Iraq...
