I just finished the React and Angular tutorials I was up to. I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to do FullStackOpen, Odin Project JS track, or Odin Project Ruby on Rails track next. Whichever one is going to be a big hours (and therefore months) sucker, but obviously if I lose interest or decide to do something else I can put whatever on hiatus and do something more interesting or beneficial to me.

Throw it on the ground and walk the fuck out but only because I've reached the point in my career in which I don't have to put up with that shit anymore.

i had a $16.99 family meal coupon at bk so i bought it and split it over 3 days since no one in my family wanted any of it (3 cheeseburgers, 3 medium fries, 3 whoppers... w/o mayo b/c i hate mayo)

Concerning FSO and LinkedIn: apparently if you're going to add FSO as a cert you're supposed to list the University of Helsinki as the issuer. Makes sense. Not sure how I overlooked that.

Something I'll add about FullStackOpen: if anyone chooses to complete it, they should do it because they like the course itself and the skills/projects they'll have from doing it (that goes for practically any software dev training program, but hey). In other words, it doesn't have much of any name recognition (e.g., if you wanted to add the FSO cert to LinkedIn it doesn't recognize it, although you can plug it in manually). You could still use it to pimp out your GitHub and the projects and skills sections of your resume, so its marketing value--especially as a free training program developed by proven professionals--remains high, even if indirectly.

If someone's choosing between doing one of the Odin Project paths or FSO and cares about name recognition, could be a deciding factor for them.

Something I'll add about applying for jobs/moving on to bigger and better things: although I'm not quite at a six-figure salary, my current position has a lot of perks and I'm guaranteed a good evaluation (therefore, more security, more $) every time unless I somehow fuck up badly. As much as I'd like to be in the 100k+ club (I will be eventually, anyway) and work only remotely (or close to only), I'd have to have an offer that straight-up swept me off my feet to consider leaving.
