I mean, you say this, but Homer was the only Simpson to beat his entire division. Even Bart lost.

Nah, if you want to run a tournament that excludes the popular characters go ahead, but IMO a contest to find the best character should include as many characters as possible, especially the popular ones

Kind of feels like rigging it for your own personal favorite if you exclude anybody that can beat them

Lisa and Maggie for sure got out too soon.

Marge I felt made it further than she should have, and there's no shame in Bart losing the Mr. Burns.

my personal favorite is Homer tho lol. It was just a simple suggestion to try and keep from the most obvious win in history.

I do genuinely think golden age Simpsons Homer is a fantastic character. Personally my dark horses that I was pulling for were Principal Skinner and Lionel Hutz, but I'm perfectly happy to see Burnsy in the top 2.

Stuff like, biggest upset (in your opinion, anyway), closest race, most votes in one poll (if you kept voting info somewhere, besides just the percentages), etc.

Honestly as far as upsets, most of the rounds went more or less as I thought they would, although IMO way too many female characters got absolutely robbed and should have moved on farther. But I guess CE's gonna CE.

Closest round, I remember that there were two or three that were decided by a single vote.

I didn't keep a record of how many votes were cast each round, only the percentages, but I think the highest a round ever got was 120-something votes. Can't remember which one it was though.

Yeah, if I were to travel back in time to four months ago, I absolutely would have split Hans and Troy apart so they wouldn't face off in round one of the tournament. This is something I did for the Final Fantasy bracket, even going so far as to post the full bracket for others to see and suggest moving characters around.

Ultimately though, I doubt it would have had any major effect on the final results if I did so, but it's still a regret of mine. Especially when there were really weak matchups in round one like Luigi vs. Llewelyn.
