There's absolutely no argument that the way both of those were handled is beyond fucked up, he's right to bring them up.
Not really. The dude was offered bail for his crime at $900. He however was then charged for his probation violation and held without bail for that. The solitary confinement stuff was for repeatedly being in fights over and over.

What is the argument here? If Rittenhouse was on probation prior, he would be in jail also until his case came up also. It is literally comparing apples to oranges. Priors, on probation, etc.

The problem is many of you either lack context when you say stuff or are purposely misleading with how you frame your arguments.

Maybe LOTM is a hedge fund manager who just buys index funds and spends his days posting about politics.

This morning's attack (I don't think it can be called anything else) almost certainly did cost some people their money, who panic sold GME at $126 or AMC at $7. I read about someone new to the market who bought AMC at $16 yesterday and panicked when it shot down to $7 this morning in minutes. The design of the attack was to do this to everyone who owns these stocks. It largely didn't work, because shareholders by and large did not panic and did not sell at the artificially depressed prices.

If this thing does what it could tomorrow and squeezes in earnest, this is going to be the single greatest transfer of wealth from rich to poor in human history.
Poor aren't making money on this. Poor can't even afford to enter the stock markets.

I don't agree that this means impeachment is dead on arrival. Whether the Senate has jurisdiction to try an ex-president is debatable. There is no doubt that ex-presidents do not enjoy immunity from regular prosecution. But now that the Senate has decided it has jurisdiction - senators who disagreed on this legal question may still vote guilty.
More than 1/3rd of the Senate has supposedly already come out against it.

You gotta answer the question too then: do you agree term limits are undemocratic, but still think theyre better anyway?
I think as long as anyone supports term limits on the presidency that you have to support them on the branch that checks it also.

I think you could argue your answer both ways. Is it undemocratic that people can't choose the same person repeatedly over and over? Or is it undemocratic that more peoples voice can't be heard to represent people.

Is it the right system when representatives and Senators literally will do things they don't really believe just because they want to get re-elected? You could argue that makes sense because pandering to their electorate is representing their people the way they wish to be. But, you could also argue it incentivizes pandering instead of actual thoughts and beliefs.

This is the weirdest part of your take. At what point is the parent no longer responsible for how their child acts towards them? Emphasis on CHILD.

If youre being emotionally abused by your 13 year old, is that just as bad as emotionally abusing them? How about if theyre 8? If theyre 4?
I think it sucks for any parent that has to deal with children that are abusive to them, whether the child knows better or not at that point. It obviously is mentally stressful and can cause a breakdown to happen.

I don't profess to know the whole situation. I don't profess to know their lives. I think I have seen enough to believe both seem to be goofy as fuck at this point though. And, I have zero trust from either of them in regards to their home life either.

This could be a Conway is running a sex ring and pimping out her daughter or a her daughter got mad her mom took her phone because she got bad grades. Nothing at all coming from those 2 would surprise me anymore at this point. Neither has any credibility, it is getting progressively more and more absurd, and it needs to be investigated for now potential crimes with very serious consequences.
